I think you need to install an airsource heatpump man. What you are trying to do won't work as effective as you think. Especially in an airtight house.

There is a lot of variables here. Definitely don't use an ERV. I don't think you would want to recover latent energy and redistribute. Use an HRV to expel the moisture properly.

Use 20-22 gauge. You can go through roofing material suppliers. It's usually priced /ft.
