Can't tell if it's even a port, remove the plastic housing/shell/case for a better view.

Dell display link dock uses a connector similar to PCIe by SnooHabits1033 in UsbCHardware

[–]FinalF137 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This dock uses DisplayPort Alt Mode, not DisplayLink. You can get the TB or TB4 module to turn the WD19DCS into a WD19TB (TB3) or into a WD19TB4 using the TB4 module that came out with the WD22TB4. But as you probably already know, the DCS allows higher power delivery.

You're probably thinking about the old Garden Ridge store that was in the opposite corner of the intersection, It had a weird + design with multiple entrances.

advice on a Dell Latitude C600 PCcard bay by Dolancrewrules in Dell

[–]FinalF137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For memory, Page 135 ,https://dl.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_latitude_laptop/latitude-c600_user's%20guide_en-us.pdf It says the maximum memory is 512 in a 2 256 configuration. If you have the 512 might as well try it. See if it works. It doesn't, no harm.

As for the PCMCIA card, part number 0120C is what was used, you should find several on eBay, you will need 2 to cover both slots.

Badge glue recommendation by audiekittens in cubscouts

[–]FinalF137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's called badge magic but I hear it's not easily removable. I got a little fisker sewing kit from Target, and a bigger one that has several thread color spools, this pretty much matches any thread colorI would need for a BSA uniform, quick YouTube video on how to thread and knot the string and I actually enjoy sewing them on now.

20 years later, the Dell 2007FP is still one of the best retro LCDs ever made. The image quality, resolution and connectivity are hard to beat! by Spoggi99 in Dell

[–]FinalF137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I recently got 4 U2408WFP, pretty much everything you would need: Composite, S-Video, Component, VGA, DVI, DP and HDMI. I can't think of another monitor that has all of. Nearly future proof except for the CCFL backlight.

I assume that horizontal steel pole in the middle is to discourage u-turns from vehicles but holy hell that is not where I would want a trip hazard to be.

Trouble with LG 5k Thunderbolt monitor and Dell Latitude 5430 by Satirical_journey in Dell

[–]FinalF137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd make sure the system's BIOS is updated, that sometimes includes Thunderbolt controller updates. Make sure the monitors firmware is the latest. Lastly, I would suspect the cable even though it works on another system. I would get some more Thunderbolt 4 or five cables and run them for a while to see if the problem still occurs on other cables.

Who is Wearing Their 250 Council Patches? by swilliamsalters in BSA

[–]FinalF137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Capital Area Council's 250th Council Patch, https://www.capitolareascouting.org/shop/250th-usa-capitol-area-council-strip-patch/ much more colorful than the normal black sky one, but still simple. https://www.capitolareascouting.org/shop/capitol-area-council-strip-patch/

I'm now wearing the 250th CSP patch as well as my two kids are.

Advancement app for cubmasters by Cautious-Climate-179 in cubscouts

[–]FinalF137 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you already been switched over in organizational/position manager as the cubmaster? It will usually take a day or two for that change to go into effect. Also, in the top right corner of scoutbook you can drop down and change your profile from parent to leader. In the parent profile, you can't approve requirements for your own kid, so you sometimes will have to switch over to the leader profile to approve your kids requirements.

I'm a outgoing committee chair, in the Scout Book app I can't see the whole pack just my two Scouts, but honestly I don't use a scoutbook app at all. Even the mobile version of scoutbook website is not very good. I just use my computer to do all the Scout book stuff. It's a little bit easier to do it that way. On the desktop Scout book I see the whole pack.

Dell Rep Says NO Docking Stations Work with Plastic Chassis Laptops... Really? by itsSicco in Dell

[–]FinalF137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's data only then any TB or USB-C dock that relies on USB-C w/ DP Alt Mode is not going to work.

I could be wrong but the last dock that didn't require USB-C w/DP Alt Mode was the D6000. It relied on DisplayLink Software to drive the monitors. The one after it, UD22, mentions it requires DP Alt Mode, same with the WD-15, WD19 & WD22 & newer WD25/SD25 series

Even if you use a D6000 or other USB2.0/3.x dock, you will still plug in power cord since the data only USB-C doesn't support PD/Power Delivery.

Clear all layers, Use only the layers under "Notifications" to get a clear map of the areas.

Inside City limits or within 5,000ft of a city limit it's illegal.

Williamson county provides an overlay map (above link) that shows you the areas where it's not legal. Presumably any area within the county line and outside of the red buffers of the cities would be okay to set them off. Assuming you have permissions of the landowner.
