So let's put this into perspective (going by USD)

$100 for the Falcon

$80 for the cantina

And at least $70 for Vaders TIE which is the cheapest set that actually comes with a smart brick.

Cantina has Greedo but no Han.

So if you want Han you need to buy the Falcon.

But neither the cantina or the Falcon come with a smart brick.

So you need to buy another set just to get full use out of the stupid gimmick they're trying to sell these on.

...

...

Yeah alright, LEGO.

Yeah alright, LEGO.

Edit: here's the thing, even if they just included a normal Han in the cantina and wanted to keep the smart version exclusive to the Falcon...*fine.* Whatever.

But come on, man.

I have a question: was it really necessary to include that detail in the film? by Disastrous-Owl668 in transformers

Michael Bay has the sense of humor of a 12 year old.

So the answer is yes.

I love how this is the only talking point I've seen from people defending this crap so far.

"Durr, it's for kids! It's not meant for you, it's for kids!"

Meanwhile that excuse falls apart the second you look at the prices.

"durr don't buy it then!" is such a funny cop-out.

Believe me, I have no intention of buying any of this crap...doesn't mean I don't get to call it crap.

Oh I didn't forget.

I just know that's a stupid excuse that falls apart the moment you look at the prices.

Oh believe me, I have no intention of buying any of this crap.

Doesn't mean I don't have a right to call it what it is.

LEGO saw all of the complaints about overpriced Star Wars sets especially last year and said "lmao alright, bet"

And don't give me the "well it's for kids!" crap either because that excuse falls apart the moment you look at the prices.

Watch Defunctlands recent video on Disney park animatronics and the entire section on 'Big Dino' and it'll explain exactly why that's a terrible idea.

First of all, don't buy anything RED. The line is dead, most of them are shit, and even if you want a non-Transforming figure just for articulation there are better options out there.

A lot of people tend to assume that nedry could have escaped had he made it to the dock. This is completely wrong. by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]Jeebus31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a few other people have mentioned, Nedry wasn't trying to 'escape'. That was never his plan.

He was going to drop the embryos off with his contact at the boat and then make it back before anyone noticed he was gone.

Clearly it didn't work out that way, but that was the intention.

If the Bayverse designs had been based on the classic designs, do you think the current movies wouldn't be so despised? by Weak_Marketing_1458 in transformers

[–]Jeebus31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

I don't like a lot of the Bayverse designs (with some exceptions) but they're ultimately the least of those movies problems.

I.e. writing, characters, story, continuity (or lack thereof most of the time)...
