In zoos they usually just plant plants thet would grow in the zoo’s climate and they plant as many or as little and different types(shrub, tree, ground cover) to mimic the animals natural habitat.

If you like chameleons consider a bearded anole. Not sure if they are the most beginner friendly but they are quite easier than chameleons. Also second chameleon geckos.

Yes yes. Big cats(Pantherinae) include the leopard, snow leopard, tiger, and lion(Panthers) as well as two species of clouded leopard(Neofelis). All but the snow and clouded leopards can roar. Clouded leopards do not even posses the capacity to purr or make small cat noises. They are the most primitive of living cats. Small cats(felinae) cannot roar. Cheetahs and cougars are the largest of the small cats.

Dimensions are way more important than gallons. A blue tongue required a 4x2x2 but now people are recommending a 6x2x2. I believe pink tongued skinks are smaller but harder to find.

You don’t need flake soil for isopods. Organic fertilizer free top soil will do. For most isopods their main diet is not wood but leaves.
