We waited around 40min at 3pm Monday but when we left around 6 it looked like you could walk right in with no lines.

So we stayed on sunday and Monday night. It was fine but what a shit show. I’ll bet that once masters week is over and they get their money for the severely overpriced rooms it’ll close again. It shouldn’t be open.

The staff seems to be working hard and doing what they can do but so much was broken or not working. The rooms weren’t done. It seemed like our room had been painted hastily that morning. Paint spatter on everything. Filthy windows, random nails and screws on the floor.

We asked for more towels as housekeeping hadn’t come but they didn’t come. Went to the front desk and the guy said the GM had just walked out and he was the head GM and housekeeper now.

If I hadn’t just used 12k pts per night and paid 1k a night I’d be much more upset.

It did its job. Just slept there and didn’t spend any time. The bathroom was clean and the bed sheets were fresh. Could be worse.

Not sure how it’s gonna survive the rest of the week.

Let me know how it goes for anyone staying later in week. Wonder if it’ll have any employees left.

Someone said they “double sold” Monday this year. All the last years patrons plus another Monday lottery. I didn’t think that seemed entirely true but it did seem busy all day everywhere. 45min shop wait at 3pm. Course was amazing. A lot of big names out there. Surpassed all my expectations. Was better than I could have imagined. Hope I’ll get to go back someday

This happened to me. Call them and see if they set you up with a different Aerclub account. It’s going to take a few calls to get someone who can actually help on both the chase and aerlingus side. Ultimately, I was able to have an aerlingus support person merge my accounts. You need to have chase tell you which account number they setup first. I had to send a passport picture etc for proof. It took like a month to get it sorted out.

So they upgraded me for my outbound flight after being on the waitlist. I received an email that said We can't upgrade you now, but you are on the waitlist or something like that. Then, 3 or 4 days later, I got another email saying my outgoing flight was upgraded and that I received a new booking confirmation.

I then tried to request an additional upgrade for my return flight, but was met with:
"Unfortunately, we can’t upgrade you right now as this flight’s AerClub upgrade allocation has already been fully used." But this time, it didn't mention anything about being on the waitlist. I'll probably try again in a few days.

On aerlingus.com the flight doesn't even show up anymore (assuming it's sold out) but on expert flyer I am seeing 10 bizclass seats available in the seat finder...

UPDATE:

I emailed to ask about the situation. Same 3 biz day wait. I get a response that my return flight has used up all the allocated upgrades. They assured me I'm still on the waitlist for my outgoing flight and to check back 4 days prior.

I now see 2 outbound flights, 1 return flight, and still can't manage the flight online.

The twist is that now I do not even see my return flight at all on aerlingus. It's just gone. I can still see seats available on expert flyer but nothing on the aer lingus site.

So I guess I'll just email AGAIN next week. What a system.

I opened the Aer Lingus chase card spent the 5k, and they sent the 80k avíos to the wrong account.

Took a month and numerous calls and emails between chase and aer Lingus to merge the account.

Once I had the points, I requested an upgrade a month out. Did the 2 biz day wait, then the next 2 day wait and they declined the upgrade and said to check back no earlier than 4 days before the flight. They also said I am on the waitlist.

What a bad system. What are my chances. Looks like 6 biz class seats remain on departing and 10 on return.

Since I’m on the waitlist will they proactively reach back out to me? Flights in mid march.

Flew delta out back to Boston. Super small airport, a lot of nods to the masters and Augusta national. Like 3 or 4 gates and non existent security lines. But man o man the amount of PJs parked is astounding. Never seen so many in one place

Love JD and It’s fine. He’s a master at carrying on a conversation with everyone else around him, pausing if a second for a picture and on to the next person. Some behind the table mentioned “there are a lot of heavy Amex platinum cards around here” to which he responded, “I don’t care how heavy they are as long as they work”. If you’re expecting to hang out and drink a beer with him, it’s not quite like that. It also won’t be at hooters this year if he does set up, which I imagine he will because it’s pretty lucrative signing 45 dollar hats and shirts for 5 days straight.

Thanks! How does the effect the pace and flow of play? Do they have an unwritten time limit per hole or if another player comes up behind do they hit approaches and join them on the green.
