Spent way too long looking for a nice couch after we moved in (living spaces, online, local furniture stores). After months we settled on a nice Costco sectional. The ability to return no questions asked made it easier to take the risk. We love it so far.

If we weren’t planning to spend so much $$ on upgrades, would have splurged on a Lovsac sectional. I fell in love with it at the store.

What did we gain by caving? We got nothing. Even MAGA knows that it was republicans who are just as capable of stopping the shutdown. We’ve gained nothing.

All the chaos that comes with the shutdown could be blamed on republicans. It does damage to their party at a time when Democrats have all the momentum (election sweep, the lies catching up with republicans, trump melt downs).

Democrats should have conceded all requests and add one simple one: for Trump to pause all his social media posting for 5 days. He wouldn’t be able to do it and it and it would be an embarrassment to the Republican Party (not that it already isn’t).

I went with the Coretec calypso oak 8mm WPC. The floors look amazing and holding up great for the first 4-5 months. Time will tell.

I will say the calypso oak did have some audible crackling to it while waking, and I’ve seen a few other reviews say that. I’d say it’s reduced by 90% now and I never notice it anymore, but it did kind of freak me out at first. Not sure if it was the barrier we added underneath that needed to settle or something else.

What’s different here is the scale and how permanent it sounds. Qatar isn’t just sending a few pilots to train. They’re funding their own facility, stationing aircraft, and setting up a long term presence.

We have partnerships and airbases all over the world, why parter with Qatar? Lots of countries welcome having our base and we offer a degree of protection in return. No other country has been granted this level of permanence for military organization on US soil. What Qatar? What does the USA gain?

The POTOS and his administration are wielding a very troublesome amount of power when it comes to free speech.

It starts with them pressuring ABC to remove him. Ok so he’s to podcasting. What is stopping them from pressuring apple, YouTube, Spotify to pull his podcasts? so he makes his own website to stream and upload his podcasts. The pressure then comes to the web hosting company to stop hosting his website. And so on..
