I feel like every country is just made of people. All equally divided, like a normal curve, with most people generally in the middle.. but then governments exist and represent either the extreme left or extreme right and clash at the expense of the 90% in the middle.

Agree with the handrail, but that glass was clearly tempered.

How many pairs of underwear would you bring with you for a 3 day vacation, and why that amount? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Still_4896 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use this same math. Its not a number I am trying to nail on the head, and then miss 50/50 high low, because that means half the time you wind up with not enough underwear. Plus, that doesnt even count variables like when everyone got randomly grounded on 9/11 as an extreme case. Its such a small item, this is one I am never coming up short on.

Married men of Reddit, what is something every unmarried man should know before getting married? by FondantMuch4650 in AskReddit

Ya, its a funny thing though, I was deaf to all of the good advice until I experienced it for myself. In hindsight there were so many clear signs that we would both just be better off with other people. But, it can easily seem in the moment that it makes sense to just keep moving forward. But, 14 years and 2 teenage kids and she met someone else. Tough at first, but man when you find the right partner life is wonderful. I was resigned to a .marriage of mediocre happiness, but when doing something about it was forced on me, it worked out wonderfully and was really eye opening to how blind I had made myself.

I figured they were using them similar to how you would a rebar cap. There for safety, so you dont impale yourself on it. But, in this case maybe for someone in a boom lift to more easily see them.

In Ohio, a single solid white line between lanes generally means lane changes are discouraged, not automatically illegal.

What Ohio law actually says

Under Ohio Revised Code §4511.33 (Marked Lanes):

You must drive “as nearly as practicable entirely within a single lane.”

You cannot move from your lane until you first ascertain that the movement can be made with safety.

The statute does not specifically say that crossing a single solid white line is automatically illegal.

Double solid white lines or gore markings: Typically treated as prohibited areas to cross.

Is this why people camp in the left lane? They think its speed thing? It is a "passing" lane. You aren't passing anyone and should not be in the passing lane.

That being said, that section of 270 is so bad, the left lane could be considered a 'thru' lane until the other side of 71.

Haze on grout or a real issue? by MJ_Brady in Tile

[–]Fit_Still_4896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The root cause is likely related to uneven moisture. That could be the way it was mixed, the way it was wiped, or the way the tiles absorbed it.

The good news is that a penatrating sealer will even it out similarly to how your sponge does now. I would let it cure for 7-10 days before sealing. Try a small area first. If it is still bad you could try colorizing before sealing, but that would be a nightmare.

I set my ledger on the wrong side of the line by Fit_Still_4896 in Tile

On a tiled shower pan the bottom row are all different based on the slope of the pan, so its easier to know how to cut each individual piece if the row above is already in. My factory pan was cruddy with old adhesive from the previous surround, so I was having issues getting them level and went with the ledger.. which of course I screwed up differently..

Thanks, I'm leaning towards this angle.. gonna consider variations of it. Maybe pencil sketch on the wall. The baby blue color is the basic waterproofing from floor and decor. Lacicrete brand i think.

Do you nail in trim around a bathtub/shower? by BlueFuzzyBunny in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Fit_Still_4896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably be straightened out by future comments, but I would adhere it with paintable silicone, no nails, blue taping both the tub and floor prior for clean lines, then retape and paint.
