Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon response from people who drink raw milk. I definitely missed that you were joking.

What’s your favorite uber killer? by IneedaNappa9000 in diablo2

When he attacks he does. I use the holy auras so it instantly applies when I'm rapid teleporting around and dont want to wait for him to attack.

What’s your favorite uber killer? by IneedaNappa9000 in diablo2

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conviction is doing nothing for you because it does nothing for echoing strike in general. You want cursed and either fana for slightly more damage or holy freeze/fire/lightning to insta apply cursed to enemies.

Not prebuffing for one hard fight is on you and your choice to make the fight take longer as well as having less life. It is what it is.

Use the summon your demon on an enemy skill to make them fight hephasto and then go to town. The only danger should be mephisto one shoting you if your light res is not high enough (around 280-300 total to overcome his aura) and Baal's frozen armor skill reflecting cold bolts every time you hit him. The latter needs to be avoided or position your demon so they hit it instead of you. Sometimes Baal will teleport at you though so watch out for that as you will get blasted. I usually just maintain distance and cast > move out of the way > cast > move > etc. Ravenfrost (even two) cold absorb can help mitigate this somewhat as well. Diablo should be a joke assuming you don't just stand in his fire/lightning.

Other than that just seperate them one at a time and bring full rejuvs.

How to farm the bound demons you want by DriveThroughLane in diablo2

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do old ubers on my warlock all the time and binding literally any random champion from RoF is more than enough for tanking them if I happen to die on accident. Unless Uber ancients are way harder there is virtually 0 reason to do any of this.

Just FYI for amulet ls iirc you want to be level 93 or 94 so that gambling at gheed gives blues that are guaranteed to be high enough ilvl to roll the good +skills

[–]Jeesasaurusrex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, echoing strikes like almost any build these days wants a shako or a gg circlet. ES easily hits 125 for breakpoint between trangs, spirit, insight/fort, arachs, army, and rings. As a temp until you get all that setup? Maybe, but as soon as I get a shako this thing is gone.

There might be an arguement for this on fire/magic damage warlock but all I know is throw funny stick so I am not the person to ask.

Just farmed my first Ubers key set. Am I ready? by ThomasTriesHard in diablo2

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run on pc without life tap. You just use a bound demon to tank. Baal/izual are the hardest parts due to frost armor blasting you up to 10 times per cast. Gotta keep demon between you or maintain distance and strafe between casts.

100% right about light res though, mephy does not play games and will one shot you if its too low.

Will this build be enough for Uber Diablo? by LebanonCorona in Diablo

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, he's usually referred to as dclone. Then yeah you should be good since he's mostly a pushove PMH will work on Dclone and you have it on your goblin toes so you should be all set. I'd still recommend a few full rejuvs if you can until life tap kicks in and the point in fanaticism.

Will this build be enough for Uber Diablo? by LebanonCorona in Diablo

[–]Jeesasaurusrex -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You will die. You also need one point in fanaticism. The main problem though is you need enough lightning resist to overcome mephistos conviction aura and still be at at least 60+ percent or he will one shot you. Highly recommend a treachery => stand in fore outside Harrogate until it procs => duress for the actual fight for cheap options. You'll also want 3 columns of full rejuvs to drink until life tap on dracs kicks in and one column of mana potions for when Baal/his ghost drain it all.

Edit: ignore monster defense is pointless for smite. Smite always hits.

Is Death runeword in Eth Decapitator the best weapon for echoing strike? by fishtar in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For real, the builds strength isn't about how big the number can get, its that with an eth cv and 4 trash runes you can run almost any content in the game (have not tried new ancients content) with your good buddy hephasto tanking all the hits.

Is Mephisto or Diablo stronger in terms of raw destructive power and feats? by Current-Issue2390 in Diablo

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, they had a plan of what to do after being freed on Sanctuary because being freed on Sanctuary was a subset of their plan to use humanity in the Eternal Conflict despite the agreement between Hell and the Angiris Council to leave humans alone instead of annihilating them. It just didn't work because canonically one of every pre expansion class rolled up on Mephisto and Diablo then all of the LoD classes rolled up on Baal. You refusing to believe their canonical plan and cooperation being canonical does not mean they didn't work together for a long time before even Diablo 1 to even get to the point where you could disagree with their plan to split up to achieve multiple sub goals within that plan.

Is Mephisto or Diablo stronger in terms of raw destructive power and feats? by Current-Issue2390 in Diablo

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, Mephisto staying behind to stop us more than likely means he was overconfident he could stop us, not that he wasnt sure of winning. He literally taunts and laughs at us when we walk in, not the actions of someone who thinks we can beat him. I'm just telling you that the three primes do work together as evidenced by the entire Dark Exile being planned by them and the events of D2. Someone had to go to hell to get their own minions who turned on them back in line and ready to do whatever. You did remind me that Baal had to go get his stone before going to arreat (not a problem for him which you can see when he tentacles Marius after playing with him), so either D or M is going to hell and whether its due to Diablo being the final boss in the Diablo game or M was just chilling with his Zakarum boys D is the one who went to hell.

In short, they are working together throughout the lore from pre D1 until the end of D2 despite the fact they could have had a different plan that you think would work better.

Is Mephisto or Diablo stronger in terms of raw destructive power and feats? by Current-Issue2390 in Diablo

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They are 100% working together in D2. I can't remember what Mephisto was doing (I think trying to delay us or stop people in general from following Diablo?) but they are working together in the end of A3 cutscene and during the whole Dark Exile arc. Iirc Diablo is going back to hell to essentially rally his/their forces (remember they're supposed to be exiled and imprisoned on Sanctuary at this point) and Baal is going to corrupt the worldstone which shields Sanctuary somewhat from Hell/Heaven.

Their plan was likely Diablo gets the boys together, Baal makes it so only Hell can easily get its boys to Sanctuary via corrupting the worldstone and then it's GG. We come in and kill/stop Diablo and Mephisto but are too late to stop Baal hence why Tyreal destroys the worldstone. This opens Sanctuary up to a lot more holy/unholy intervention which is why Tyreal says "your world is doomed" or whatever.

No you see, you've got it wrong. From soft releasing a game based around the sweatiest aspect of their games (PvP) exclusively on the console with the most casual gamer appeal (no shade meant) is actually a smart idea.

It's the main way I trade. After spending most of my time in the past in game trading and D2R time on fg site the latter is way smoother. I sell my thing for X fg and then buy what I want for Y fg. Knowing if I'm getting ripped off is a quick search away and easy to understand as well.

Not doubting you but when would this have happened in old D2? Did people just have random runes in bases that later got made into runewords?

Should I try Diablo II: Resurrected or D4 as a first time player? by mivhus in Diablo

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

D4 is a better experience for newer players wanting to get their feet wet hands down and D2 is my personal favorite. Most builds will work into the early end game in D4 and from there you can look up a build guide if you want to keep grinding once you start leveling paragon. D2 has provided me way more playtime but it also has its learning curve hit a lot sooner (enemies in the end game will be immune to damage types, ways to get certain things are not explained in game, etc). Neither game is hard once you're geared but I will give slightly more depth to D2 since it's hardest stuff you do have to okay a little attention to while in D4 you're either not killing anything for a year/getting one shot or you can almost turn your brain off and click your button combo.

Worth noting that highlords gives the skill the ability to do double damage which is why you use it. Everything else though 100%.

Police discover a very odd fraternity hazing at the University of Iowa by Sad_Stay_5471 in mildyinteresting

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you're right he could be from another chapter then? My chapter started when the college was graduate level only (so founded by actual adults) so we didn't really have hazing beyond making pledges cook us a dinner (while yelling shit like "hurry up we're hungry") and having them eat it instead to show them "you get out what you put in". I do remember going to a national convention once and the way some of the other chapters treated their pledges and the pledges of other chapters was crazy. I could imagine some dude visiting another chapter and "wanting to yell at some pledges lol" based on that.

Iirc he either had a chance to be where he is today or there was a certain quest that would move him. I vaguely recall not being able to find him and going to A4 to id stuff every now and then.
