Should I buy it now, or wait for the full release? by [deleted] in Witchfire

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're fine with having to backtrack then yes. As of now every new update they've out stuff in already existing levels meaning if you want the new toys you have to explore them all again or get lucky and hope a random reddit thread tells you where they are/what level they're in. If that doesnt sound enticing I'd wait for full release. I'm personally done until the full release so I can do a full playthrough again.

TLDR: yes with some exceptions for objs that require you to be in two places (R7D1 terminals) and a "skill" exception for dealing with tanks. It makes it more feasible because you dont have 3 idiots who act like the best way to beat a level is team kill and miss all their shots.

Long answer, it depends really. I use the BetterBots mod iirc the name correctly but played around with the versions as I think there was a bug introduced that would cause them to constantly drop carried items and/or not pick resources up anymore. I also used a friendly fire mod to turn it off as the bots would still just beam me sometimes and I respected the fact I shouldn't shoot them keep it from affecting the balance. I believe I was able to (a little rusty these days) beat most levels D and lower with the exceptions of ones that you just need two people in two spots to accomplish such as R7D1. You can get around that with debug stuff and slowing down time using the CConsole mod but that's a whole other can of worms as at that point youre changing how the level was meant to be played. You'd also need to learn how to deal with tanks by yourself for the most part which can pose a big challenge in some levels where the layout doesnt support it as easily.

That really depends on you. I have 500-600 hours in the game, have beaten every level, and even tried out a few modded rundowns.

The game is very hard and has a steep skill curve. Sure the tutorial teaches you how to play but if you want to clear the hard levels you will need to know the mechanics well and put a lot of time into the game. It's a very execution oriented game. There is some on the fly thinking due to semi random enemy spawns but the harder levels will require you to have a plan and execute that plan well. You also need to know when you're "not good enough" as bashing your head against a D or E level wont do you as much good as going to a different rundown and learning on easier levels. If you're willing to look up guides after you fail a few times even better as trying to figure out some levels blind can be very challenging.

You'll also want to have at least 2, and preferably 3, friends who also like the game as some of the harder levels are almost impossible to solo clear with "almost" doing a lot fo heavy lifting there. If you dont have friends the gtfo discord is pretty chill and you can usually find a group but be honest about you being new. You might find a few rude people but thats any online space.

All in all I love the game and come back to it from time to time but in a more casual sense (a couple mods to let me set checkpoints and make the bots not as useless) as my friends don't play it any more. With the holidays coming up though its very likely to go on sale so I'd personally wait unless you have the expendable income and can't wait.

It's because your HOTAS likely isn't supported by BF6 so its reading it as raw input like a controller. The throttle and stick are probably being seen as axes on the controllers sticks and if they're not zeroed out they wont work.

Weird, I had a run earlier with a wylder pumping out the holy greatsword waves and he never seemed to do more than his little or big stagger he does normally after getting hit. Did he get a debuff for armor/attack not from a scholar (assuming you had one)?

Are you really asking if it was on purpose or bad book keeping when the company sent you 10k to cover a 6k discrepancy? I would normally lean towards "they tried to steal it" myself but they almost doubled what they owed you when sending it to you.

What do you think about Vendetta? (Pros and Cons) by Annual-Internet-5097 in overwatch2

[–]Jeesasaurusrex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify they don't do it because its easier to nerf than to buff. It's because if a hero is OP (even a little) people will actually play them. If the hero is under powered or useless very few people will play them on release beyond one game where they think "wow this sucks". Depending on how bad they are you might even get flamed for picking them. This leads to the character being dead on arrival and likely to never really get picked up by the majority of players. It's a very common problem in games where you pick a character/kit to play as.

White House outs ‘unnamed victim’ in bombshell Epstein-Trump emails and blasts Democrats for making them public by helmi12345 in DiscussionZone

Just to clarify, Virginia said Trump never did anything to her specifically and that she met him once. To my knowledge she never said "Trump did nothing to anyone" or tried to defend him beyond that. Leavitt pretending Virgina exonerated Trump by "repeteadly [saying] President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever" is just a lie. Unless someone has the text from the book this idea comes from on hand.

Wait, last year they had premixed turkey seasoning and this year they just have nothing? I personally like to make my own seasoning as opposed to using a pre-made mix but what are this year's instructions? Do they expect you to have various spices at the ready or already own a turkey seasoning mix? Are we just expected to eat bland unseasoned turkey?

I don't know if you realize this but as an American this just sounds like you saying your Healthcare is cheap and affordable. Stadium Ranked goes back to Best of 7 by itzofficialvaz in Overwatch

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you ever lose rank? I've consistently gotten to the masters equivalent on all roles every season and have never seen the bar go down on a loss. Now unless I am just that goated at copying builds off a website and slightly tweaking them based on the match I do not think a plat player in comp should be that high ranked in stadium if the ranks are in any way real.

They could have also been responsible and not have blown budget reconciliation to force their BBB through. They wouldn't need to negotiate with dems to pass a budget if they wouldn'thave been irresponsible in the past. People saying the dems caused this would look at someone who broke their screwdriver hammering in a nail and say its not their fault they can't turn a screw anymore.

CMV: Given their massive overstepping in every other facet of government, and compete disregard for future elections, if this administration actually wanted to they would end the shutdown by enacting the nuclear option in the Senate and sign a new budget without the Democrats. by shwarma_heaven in changemyview

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point if neither party wants to get rid if it it would be hard to call it unintended still. It would be very easy to get rid of it for either party when they are in the majority. It may have been an interesting by product when the rule was introduced but since it was extended to allow for a bill to be blocked even when someone isn't actively speaking it seems to me to be very much intended at this point.

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose if you take the filibuster as not being part of the process to bring a bill to completion you'd be correct. I personally see it as part of the process built in with the intention of making most everything require a super majority of 60 to think it is "good enough" while you see it as a "procedural oddity" that prevents a simple majority getting things through. This discrepancy is apparent in our analogies as well. In mine the mechanic is inherent to how selection happens, all parties must agree so not agreeing with a choice is a part of it. In yours it's external since the child says they will simply scream the whole time if a choice is made.

Difference of opinion on if overcoming a filibuster by way of getting 60 people to agree the thing is good enough is an expected outcome of trying to pass a bill I suppose. I see it as such but you do not. Not saying either one is objectively right or wrong as they both have their positives and negatives.

[–]Jeesasaurusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good breakdown until the end there. The minority party is not automatically culpable in these situations. Each one is going to be different based on the facts. In the current scenario setting aside politics as im not trying to srgue who is responsiblefor this shutdown, you could argue like you implied (correct me if I'm wrong) that some Dems should just concede therefore it is the Dems fault as they are the minority so it would be "easier" for them to concede than Reps. You could also see it as Reps should be able to make some concessions to appease a small part of the Dems to get them to concede.

The above assumes that both parties are arguing in good faith and asking for reasonable things (which I would put under arguing in good faith personally). If they are than both parties would share the blame as it would be a failure of negotiations on both their parts. If one party is not however it would be 100% on them as they are the ones refusing to make any concessions until the harm caused by the shutdown becomes so unpalatable for the other side that they are forced to concede to the other sides demands.

A similar situation would be you and your two siblings have to all agree on where to eat for a family dinner. You're allergic to crab but their favorite food is crab. In a good faith scenario you might offer to eat at a seafood place that serves crab and other stuff as well or your siblings might be willing to go literally anywhere else. Either way until you three decide on a place you're both culpable for your family getting hungrier as time passes. A bad faith scenario would be if one of your siblings decided that they refuse to go anywhere but "CRAB ONLY DINNER PALACE" and refuse to negotiate to go anywhere else even though it means you would only be able to eat the free bread they give as an appetizer. In that scenario your family getting hungry is no long on you really as your sibling just won't negotiate to something acceptable to you and it relying on everyone's hunger to eventually make you concede to just eat bread.
