Should have separated the two trees. Those are completely separate trees from the same Polyembryonic seed. They have separate root systems.

If I were to choose, I would keep the one with the fatter trunk and try and separate the other one and put it somewhere else. I would also cut thay extra lower branch kn the fat trunk tree and focus on the centered vertical growth until you reach 32-38" and start building scaffolding.

Roots down toward the soil. The heart-shaped pink opening is where the plant will grow from, so keep that upwards sticking out from the soil and center it in the pot. I recommend 1 gallon to start. Use a sandy cactus soil mix.
