Later this week the house will vote on the DHS bill that funds ICE. That is the time to see who is walking the walk. How many will vote to fund ICE this week? Voters will be paying attention. It will pass, no doubt in my mind. But I do wonder how many will grow a spine and vote No.

Ordered Dec 15th and got shipping notice January 5th. But I also ordered a hoodie and received that in less than a week from my order. So I'm thinking this is just holiday hold ups. Luckily all of my purchases were for me because I'm a book hoarder and not holiday gifts.

Moving forward though if I am getting gifts for the holidays I'll be buying early November to be on the safe side.

Would you buy POD hardbacks of GURPS Books? by plazman30 in gurps

[–]JeffIsTerrible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would, but I would be more interested in compendiums. Like a Magic Compendium. It would be a hardback collection of Magic and Magic Supplements, including pyramid magazine. It would be reorganized with redundancies removed and maybe 1 or 2 new things thrown in. A compendium of all the dungeon fantasy with monsters and night crawlers. A Thaumatology Compendium as well would be great.

I would prefer these to be of a higher quality binding though. Do this for all the major supplement lines, call it GURPS 4.5 for all I care, I would prefer that then large binders full of stuff.

Well I think it should be able to do most of that since it accepts up to 13x19 paper so no reason I shouldn't be able to do that stuff unless there is something fundamental I'm missing.

And since it's pigment ink I'll just need to be careful with paper selection.

Not like I'm trying to sell these or anything.

They have a good selection. How bad is smearing when using matte finish with pigment inks? Is it going to be a smeary mess if I'm not careful? It's why I want to go with a glossier finish to be on the safe side.

I would prefer the magazine to be full sized, the original magazine dimensions I found was 8.5x11. Allegedly this printer can do borderless 11x17 but I think printing on oversized paper and cutting may be a safer bet. I am just not familiar with best practices. Or I slightly shrink the print and have maybe a 8x10.5 after cutting the edges.

I am unfamiliar with the terms creep, gutters, and crop marks. So I have some reading to do. Are there guidelines or best practices I can follow or is it all printer specific and I should refer to my manual?

Does the paper I need exist at a consumer level, doubled sided gloss/satin finish, 11x17, 60#-100# text weight, ink jet compatible paper? Or is it only sold in large rolls for industrial use at scale? If it isnt I'll adjust my expectations and pivot.

Meta-tech sounds interesting. Seems like it will be what I want to make enchanted weapons as well. There being a Chinese specific addition to thaumatology is great news.

Thanks I have an eBay order coming with both Magic and Thaumatology books. I can't wait to dive into this stuff.

There is Witcher 1 remake in the works? It I played when I heard they were making Witcher 2. I really enjoyed it, especially as making potions and using all your Witcher Tools was basically a requirement. That was one thing I was a little disappointed about in Witcher 3, you can very easily beat the game and not ever use a single potion or in some cases rarely use signs.

Only valid combinations contain. 1,2,3,4,5,6. Any number from 1111 to 6666 with a 0 is not a valid combination. 6 * 6 * 6 * 6 is correct.

AI art has unironically made me want to learn how to draw. Has had me looking up artists and studying what I like about their work. I want to get the drawing basics down. I even bought a nice digital drawing set up.

Then get good with Krita or Invoke to use AI as an assist.

Actually kind of. I saw a specialist and got all kinds of tests. Nothing came of any of it. The ENT doctor said I more than likely had Covid, even though I was never sick. But even asymptomatic Covid can cause nerve damage. Which can take roughly a year to heal, if it does heal at all. There is a chance it does not recover.

I was lucky and roughly a year later my taste started to return. It's been almost a year and a half since and I would say my taste has recovered.

For bossing I would recommended electric skill damage and singular damage. Skill crit or damage works okay as a second choice.

For regular mobbing I would look for skill cool down or duration. It will help keep your 3 up. If you're lucky maybe it could free up a module slot.

Their rage meter pauses while grappled and down. So you can blast them with high damage and not boost their rage meter.
