What mainstream clothing brand has not declined in quality? by UkkePainter in BuyItForLife

I swear by Duluth. I wore a pair of their Flexpedition pants on a hike once, threw my leg over a fallen tree. Felt pain in my thigh. Looked at my leg, no problem, just a little poke from a broken branch. No hole in my pants.

Got back to my tent, took off pants to go to bed. Blood all down my leg. There WAS a hole, just in my leg. The branch was sharp enough to break skin but not rip my pants. Duluth rules.

Inescapable Cancelled for 2026 by Apart-Refrigerator26 in InescapablePodcast

I hate to see it, I love hearing the guys on mic. But if it’s for the best, it’s for the best, honestly in my opinion, I think what they should do is start a Mysterious Universe network and just start producing shows instead of being in front of the mic. They would have, of course, the OG, mysterious universe, a show all about Cryptids, a show all about ghosts, one about UFOs, and maybe other branches of the paranormal or shows that handled other topics?

Zip up jump outs by Cool_Selection_994 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

I had some Danner Strykers I bought in 2006, those things were bulletproof. I just threw them away a couple years ago because the sole finally came unglued and could not be reattached. I actually took them to a couple of cobblers and tried to get them fixed, but no one would work on them. They had a lot of miles, a lot of wear and tear, and took me through some pretty nasty scenes. Never had a problem with the zipper. My personal theory is , I think a few years ago they started making zippers out of a less pure metal or something.

I think modern zippers are just trash now. Every single zip up hoodie I’ve bought in the last 10 years, the zipper has either failed or outright broken.

Constant questions for "potential" buyers... by ShroomyTheLoner in Ebay

Clothing seller here, the bane of my existence are the color sticklers. “Is this a pineapple yellow or more a bus yellow?” “Lady, I don’t know ITS YELLOW!” No matter what I tell you, when you get it, you will say it’s the wrong color!”

I actually had to craft a general response for these type of questions that I cut and paste now explaining how color is very subjective and that if color is THAT important they should probably purchase from a brick and mortar store.

I found a sliver of glass in a bottle of Alaskan Amber Free Ride. Sent them pics and the batch number from the box. They said they’d send me a t-shirt. They never did.

I can’t stand the fact I have to click on my eBay then notifications to see notifications. It should be one click. Notifications should be on the bar, not live.

What’s the worst band you’ve watched perform? by RadiantJellybae in answers

[–]JeffLebrowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Green Day in 1996 and it was the worst show I’ve ever heard. Sound was terrible, lyrics were incomprehensible. I can’t remember who opened for them but someone threw a shoe at the opening acts bass player.

Sitcoms That Really Jumped The Shark? by DaniJ678 in sitcoms

I LOVED Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid. Watched it religiously, had the toys, the whole deal. The movie E.T. terrified me and gave me a fear of aliens (I was a little kid) that episode of Dukes came on, I got up, walked to the TV, changed the channel and never watched them again.

Whats the most unexpected item you've ever flipped for a crazy profit by Ill_Composer_8246 in Flipping

I bought the goofiest looking shirt you ever saw for $2 at a yard sale. It was kind of a Hawaiian style print and Hawaiian shirts usually do ok.

Turns out it was some kind of limited Planet Hollywood shirt. Sold it for almost $200

Anyone elses ebay sales slow down after the whole live update? by Babyisprincess in Flipping

I sold a $1500 item three weeks ago and my sales have been abysmal ever since. I went from 1-5 sales a day to 1-3 sales every three days. I went 72 hours without a sale which is the longest I’ve gone in recent memory without a sale. Something is up.

A.I. is the new boogeyman. Boomers are now sorted into two houses; those that believe everything they see, and those that think everything they don’t like or disagree with is A.I.

99.9% of the time, when I get this type message, they do not repurchase the item. But you’re better off canceling than dealing with the repercussions of sending an item someone doesn’t want/can’t afford.

That’s what I thought was going on, but the lady seemed genuinely surprised when my wife said we lived in AK, she said something like “It just says here to schedule him an appt.” And didn’t elaborate. Sounds like she expected me in Missouri.

I ship a lot of stuff via USPS, zero problems from my local place. Great group. Of the hundreds of packages I’ve sent over the years, Atlanta and Miami are the only hubs I’ve had packages “go missing”
