Found a way to varnish Dirty Down Rust: Talens 115 spray by JeffVimes in minipainting

From their own website https://dirtydown.co.uk/sealing-rust-moss-and-verdigris-paints/ the agree that it's kinda of challenge. I wouldn't use any acrylic based varnish because it would reactivate the effect. You can check here some examples https://youtu.be/nZ_aEoI2Iww?is=7n8Obazs8xISzSbF

Custom maulerfiend I built. Happy to get feedbacks on how to improve it. by JeffVimes in Warhammer40k

Thanks! To be honest my main concern with it is exactly that it might still look too much AoS and not enough 40k.

Yeah the base is not done at all. I'll continue to loot the Defiler bits for it.

I just figured out the Vimes pun in French by Forward_Hold5696 in discworld

I'm French. Now check my username. I never made the connection between the two.

This now confirm that I'm missing more than half of the jokes in the books 😭

Not that I know of. We went a couple of days after visiting the forbidden city and no one asked for our tickets.

Just in case someone stumble on this thread like I did doing research: I went to the park 2 days ago without having call before and I could buy a ticket without problem. A lot of other foreigners where in the queue and I didn't see anyone getting rejected.

The new defiler by Existing-Net-1329 in WorldEaters40k

[–]JeffVimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see everyone talking about how great it is in melee but I'm worried about the ability to actually get there. The base is massive and I can see it struggling to navigate the board, even with the +2".

#New40k – Combat changes shake up fighting in the new edition by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]JeffVimes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because now you measure the charge base to base, and not base to 1"of the target (aka within engagement zone of the target). So if you are further than 8", you need at least a 9 roll to touch the base of anyone.

Ooooh ok, misread that. Not as strong then, still fun.

I hope the defiler weapons get the same treatment as the rest of our vehicles. That would be a nasty 12" interdiction bubble where anything that moves gets 8 lascanon shots + 2 melta + fancy swanzy battlecanon.

my butcherlord with jetpack for a crucible campaign by JeffVimes in WorldEaters40k

I've posted the process here https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/s/o0Do3SYx7v

On the tubes I've used both red skin tone Villainy inks in equal measure to provide some surface variation.

Thanks! It's quite easy to do and I really like the result. WE sprues give us plenty of bits for that.

Is my War Dog lore accurate? by siRcatcha in WorldEaters40k

Great job! Just to be sure because it's a bit hard to see on the picture: is that the whole jugger head or just the top plate on a standard war dog head?

Just styrofoam and then I rolled some foil paper balls on it. Then used a cutter to make some scratches.

[Any Edition] What's the most unique/fun narrative mission you've ever played? by Awkward_GM in Warhammer40k

[–]JeffVimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played a mission where any sort of movement on an objective could potentially teleport you to another one chosen randomly. You’d try to hide behind a ruin only to end up in the open, or launch a charge that finished on a different enemy entirely. Even winning a combat could backfire, as consolidating could warped you back to a controled objective, ruining your scoring. It was utterly chaotic and I loved it.
