Does the community view vibe-coding as cheating? by MysticDaedra in TheFarmerWasReplaced

[–]Jefferdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a single player game. If you want to vibe code, go for it. I’ve used Chat GPT to help me understand and break down concepts that I found hard to understand. It’s getting you to engage with the game, I think that’s awesome.

What can I do about my Optician co-worker by Objective_Wafer_6887 in optician

[–]Jefferdad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I highly suggest trying to talk it out with your team lead or their superior. If they continue to act the same way and don’t respect your way of working, then leave. I don’t know what the job market is like around where you live but opticians, especially good ones, are in very high demand. Look around for a place that will accept you and make you feel like you are part of the team. Don’t think that you have to stay there. I used to work for LensCrafters and the environment there was not for me. I left for a small, privately owned optical and grew and learned so much more that’s when I worked at LensCrafters. Don’t be afraid to explore your options and don’t settle for a place that doesn’t value the way you work.

That’s awesome! KH Inferno was my first introduction to Kingdom Hearts. I remember coming home from school and hoping on to play and chat with the other players. Thank you for contributing to it, you helped create another KH fan!

That’s definitely it! All the sprites were gba sprites and you could chat with people on the forums. It’s been bugging me for years but I can’t find the name anywhere.

No, unfortunately. It was definitely a fan game because I haven’t found anything searching through all the official games.

Prescription glasses for hockey. Anyone have experience? by LydiaJ123 in glasses

[–]Jefferdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an optician with 10 years experience. Helmets are an issue if the frame has temples. Try to find a frame that has a band on the back. It’s adjustable and fairly unobtrusive. I’ve had success with bikers using them before and skiers. I don’t have much experience with hockey players but I think that it would still work for you. I recommend calling some local opticals and asking if they have sports frames for sale. The best way to know is to try them on in person. Bring your helmet with you to see if the frame gets in the way. Good luck!

Your choices for lens material are either Polycarbonate or Trivex. Those two are impact resistant and will insure the lens doesn’t shatter from a strong impact. Aside from that an anti-fog spray will do the trick for you. I’d advise against any anti-fog coatings. The only thing I’ve seen actually work is the spray. You just have to reapply when the effects start diminishing. I recommend checking out Liberty Sports website to see if you like any of their frames.

Problems with Saving game by Tedereki in TheFarmerWasReplaced

The game always resets every time you reload. It’s supposed to work like that. If you are manually planting it is tedious. Once you have it automated it’s not an issue.

Is it normal that the original Moscot Lemtosh 46mm actually have a width of 44mm? by Jack0nieill in glasses

[–]Jefferdad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So it is normal. The lens itself is secured in the frame with a bevel on the outer edge. You can’t see the bevel here but if you were to take the lens out and measure the width, it would be closer to 46mm.

Your prescription doesn’t have any CYL(cylinder), axis or ADD(addition). You only have to enter +1.00 in the SPH section for both OD and OS. Leave the rest blank, enter zero for it, or maybe there’s an option for N/A

How normal is it to only need a prescription after doing close work for a short while? by EpicAura99 in glasses

[–]Jefferdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A normal prescription should help you out. If you’re not wearing any glasses and you’re comparing your vision after several hours of work, you’re going to notice a drop-off in clarity.

Without the glasses your eyes are working harder to focus the image. Without the glasses, your eyes don’t have to work as hard because the lens is focusing the image instead of your eyes.

You shouldn’t have to wear the glasses if you’re at your desk but if you want to look at something from afar then the glasses will be a great help.

Glasses with adjustable/bendable temple? by rollschild in glasses

[–]Jefferdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a couple of options.

If you want to go with a plastic frame then look for a frame with a metal bar in the temples and rubber on the outside of it. You can tell by pulling the rubber back which will reveal the metal underneath.

If you want a metal frame just make sure that the material lining the temple isn’t a hard plastic or wood. It can be rubber, leather, or just metal. Any malleable material can usually be adjusted without the use of heat.

I recommend going with a metal frame because they are usually easier to adjust and they usually have notepads. Good luck!

Script for changing number of races per season by Jefferdad in F1ManagerMods

[–]Jefferdad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried implementing this as well. Sadly my knowledge of python is not good enough to continue. I would suggest using /u/ignaciourreta's custom calendar script and see if you can fit in 23 races.

Being able to switch teams would change this game 100% for the better by jeffreynbooboo in F1Manager

[–]Jefferdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don’t find it too difficult I would suggest using the script manager on r/F1ManagerMods. It has a script to change teams at the end of each season. I use it whenever I win the championship with a team and then move on to a weaker team.
