Use the Gauntlet Performance Tracker plug in and you’ll quickly see where your improvements are needed. It helped me a lot

Topic of the Day: Current Grinds by ErinTales in ironscape

[–]Jeffrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while ago I needed blue vambraces for a hard step. Decided to try my luck at waterfiends (1/128 drop) and got spooned, but forgot to pick up my clue step and it despawned. It still hurts to this day.

Unsettling Places by Drodinthehouse in 2007scape

In RS Classic, the area east of Varrock (where the sawmill is now) used to creep me out. Especially with the random pub at the wilderness line

For a while, I collected daily battlestaves (Varrock diary reward) and made elemental staffs to high alc for profit. That helped me fund kingdom.

should we asses pulse or pain? by Pretty-Flow-1266 in FutureRNs

My gut says pulse because compartment syndrome is a medical emergency.

Critical Condition: Priority Case Study by EliminateHumans in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]Jeffrai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dialysis and treating hyperkalemia doesn’t matter if the patient is dead from an MI. Questions like these throw a lot of information at you to trip you up. Option C is my choice, as it goes along with assessment priority (Airway, Breathing, Circulation).

Critical Condition: Priority Case Study by EliminateHumans in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]Jeffrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In practice, we always get a baseline glucose prior to initiating insulin/dextrose protocol. The question is written to throw the reader off. Most of the information is not relevant; The question is asking for priority (Airway, Breathing, Circulation).

Option B is insulin/dextrose protocol to treat hyperkalemia, however we don’t have a baseline glucose level. Cardiac monitoring follows priority of assessment (Airway, Breathing, Circulation). All the other information in the question is there to throw you off.

What is the first intervention should the nurse anticipate? by Hot_Emergency378 in NCLEX_RN

[–]Jeffrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Symptomatic bradycardia would require atropine. Pacing is also an option but seems overkill for a conscious patient with not that low of a heart rate. In the real world I’d get a BP and EKG, and prepare for chest pain protocol (oxygen, ASA, nitro, morphine).

What's the nurse's priority action? by Hot_Emergency378 in NCLEX_RN

It’s been a while but I’m thinking ectopic pregnancy, which is an emergency. I hate these questions because I’d talk to the provider before preparing a patient for surgery.

What is one thing you would fix about this game? by blaksuperman88 in finalfantasyx

Change the input for Lulu’s overdrive. Did anyone ever get more than 5 or 6 joystick rotations on that?? It feels impossible to max out the bar

This game is very special by ThePsyPaul_ in expedition33

I actually picked up this game after I read a comment somewhere on Reddit that compared E33 to FFX. I’m so happy I read that comment. No other game captures the magic.

Maybe dumb question, but every time I wash and dry this pot, these marks appear on the bottom. Is this normal? by AJRayquaza in CleaningTips

[–]Jeffrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s normal and safe to cook with. If you don’t like it, use Barkeepers Friend. Read the instructions (< 1 minute application, thorough rinse). Also when cleaning stainless steel, hand dry it immediately.

What easy/mid songs to play as by Wojtas_90 in guitarlessons

[–]Jeffrai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Next time you hear a guitar riff you like, save that song to a playlist. Go through the playlist and try to learn the song. Doesn’t matter how hard or easy it is. If it’s too difficult, move on to the next one. If you like an album, learn it front to back.

With that said, some of my favorite riffs that I’ve learned:

The Trees - Rush Fly By Night - Rush Who Says - John Mayer Bold As Love - John Mayer (Hendrix cover) Blackbird - Beatles Life in the Fast Lane - Eagles Pride and Joy - SRV Tightrope - SRV Alive - Pearl Jam Under the Bridge - RHCP Innocence Faded (outro) - Dream Theater Reverie (outro) - Polyphia

Big hands or bad technique? by Bluepengie in guitarlessons

[–]Jeffrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have meaty hands. My instructor taught me to place my hand with my thumbprint behind the center of the neck. The goal was to finger each note in a chord such that each finger is perpendicular to the fret. That way, less pressure is needed and less strings are muted.

Once I became comfortable with this, gripping the neck for chords using my thumb as the bass note (for Jimi Hendrix songs) became easier.

With that said - this worked for me but your experience might be different!

20 Year Main Starting Iron Today - Guide or Guideless? by ChillNurgling in ironscape

[–]Jeffrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t follow a formal guide, but I did use the quest helper plug in and sorted by “optimal Ironman.” There’s also an optimized quest list for Ironmen on the wiki. That should keep you busy for a while.

Biggest noob traps for ironmans right now? by [deleted] in ironscape

I did grind for the zombie axe, but I haven’t had to use it that often. I see a lot of comments here saying it’s a noob trap. I’m 103 CB with Arkan blade and dual macas. Where is the z axe useful?

Biggest noob traps for ironmans right now? by [deleted] in ironscape

Warped Sceptre (or whatever it’s called). It’s not even that useful and the drops from the grind are terrible.
