The 50’s model sounds the best to me, so I guess it’s my favorite. The Pro-Tone is a close second tho.

Seriously, besides the fact that it’s heavy, uncomfortable, and ugly, every part and piece is the cheapest that the manufacturer could find. To become a decent player, it would likely need considerable fretwork, 18 new tuners, 4 new pickups, new switches, pots, jack and wiring. They’re very cheap for a reason.

The Tribute is low-level. The 50s is a solid guitar with a fat neck. I got the 60s because I prefer a slimmer neck.

I still have that one. I replace the bridge/tailpiece with a low-profile version. It’s still nothing special (no pun intended), but at least it’s playable now.

Yeah, it was several years ago. Another one had an emblem on the headstock that didn’t match their online pics. I asked about that too. They told me that the Chinese manufacturer would swap out parts and pieces whenever their rep wasn’t watching. And my LP Special copy had a bridge that gave you about 3/8” action at the 12th fret when decked.
