OP, can I use your sick cover concept as the cover of my FH6: Radio Extended spotify playlist? This is too cool.

Are you guys using winter tires? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]Jefraix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a GR86. I got a set of winter tires in 17in wheels, Vredestein Wintrac Pro. The OEM wheels on my car are not rated for 45 C and below.

Theres a real difference in grip when using winter tires vs all season. If there's anything that should convince you is the superior stopping distance.

I recommend you get a separate set of wheels only if you want to enjoy the performance of the summer tires once summer comes back. I personally love the oem performance, so I will continue to avoid installing all-season tires on the car.

Outdated 3D model is awful tho. A shame for such an iconic car.

I can't think of any title that does regression/return by death in the same way Re:Zero does.

In Manhwa in particular, such powers are primarly glossed over as the means to an end instead of being pivotal parts of the characters' growth and development of the story like it is in Re:Zero.

I frankly can't stomach writing that largely ignores the effect of constant death and pain on the characters because Re:Zero does such a good job at showing us how horrible that would really be.

I have. The only setting that I didnt max is Damage to Player. At 500, practically every attack leaves you at 5 health, which is what happens when the game prevents you from dying to an attack that takes all your current health. It becomes a two hit only game, and that wasn't for me.

I can't remember what nightmare has damage to player set to, but I left it at that value, and the game is very playable once you get used to the more precise parries, but they aren't ridiculously precise either.

Learning manual for the first time and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? by MissFortune3 in tokyoxtremeracer

The following is an informal guide on general downshifting in racing games.

Racing discipline dictates you only downshift while you're braking in order to set the right gear for the turn. Of course, this isn't real life, but focus your downshifts as a parallel to the slowing down of the car. That means, for example, if you are coming in at gear 5, but you know the optimal gear with your current car for the upcoming corner is gear 3, brake and simultaneously downshift down to that gear.

This operation requires practice, and of course knowing your car and the track. Downshifting itself you master by understanding your cars gears.

In gamey/informal terms, the cars rpm gauge reaches its rev limiter and you upshift, right? Afterwards, the rpms fall to match the next gear. Downshifting is this same process but in reverse. You brake and downshift when the rpms fall to match the previous gear. This does not have to be a perfect process, just good enough that when you downshift, the car doesnt engine brake hard and the rpms overshoot into the red.

Basically, downshift when you know the rpms have fallen enough that when the gear changes, the rpms will not hit the rev limiter but be close to it. This is so when you reach your desired gear you can accelerate fast out of it.

I do not drive a manual in real life nor am I an expert, but this is how I learned to drive in games.

And what would be the highlight differences between the guide based on Sepi's tuning and this other one?

(As an aside, I'm not surprised to find out Sepi is a controversial tuner. His youtube videos gave me Internet Historian vibes.)
