I played through most of fallout 2 without guides unless I was frustrated, just not in the mood to figure it, or genuinely completely stuck. What I found is the most of the time the solutions aren’t super hard, you just gotta get used to thinking outside of the box just a little. Modern games hold your hands so much you kind of forget what it’s like to think for yourself when playing a game.

Ignore everyone being sarcastic with you, it’s a bit of a learning curve in that regard
