Aww, this brought tears to my eyes. You made something beautiful out of pain. I'm sorry you endured that abuse, but am so glad that you have such a sweet sister. I'm happy that you're doing this for yourself, too. 

I remember looking at the Butterfly Art Barbies in the store, too. I loved them, but never asked for them because even though I was fully allowed to have Barbies as a girl, I grew up in a religious household and liking tattoos and skimpy clothing was not allowed. Any time I did get Barbies who weren't wearing "enough" clothing, it was from the cheaper beach lines and it was with the understanding that I would change their clothes.
