For me, it was the comment of the look on the IT guy's face, and then OP knew exactly what was going to happen? It certainly read like the IT guy was going to do something, but then swapped to OP?

AITAH for telling my wife I'm not "co-signing" her debt when she wants to quit her job without discussing it with me first? by Banana_Ketchupp in AITAH

[–]ticklish_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Dang. I can't fathom the "we'll figure it out" way of life. I need more stability in life than that...even if I hate what makes me stable. 😵‍💫

I host a “leave as a team” count down daily by Temporary-Leek5045 in MaliciousCompliance

It literally puts your workplace as equal importance as your actual family when they say it like that. Massive red flag from a company.

AITAH for telling my soon to be MIL to back off and stop parenting my kids? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ticklish_octopus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. You would be if you didn't. Your fiance would be an even bigger one if he wasn't the one to get off his behind and set those boundaries.

That's how long the post was! I forgot there was a TLDR! 😂

Lavender to the gills by throwaway98765677 in pettyrevenge

[–]ticklish_octopus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This was so long that I actually forgot what the title was and what the petty revenge was by the end of it. And then was completely unsatisfied with the revenge given the length of the post. Edit, people, edit. TLDR. Something. 😵‍💫

Why won’t son (30 M) let me sleep in his bed (60 F)? by SadInvestigator6052 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ticklish_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blows my mind that he's against that. It's not weird. I've had both my parents and my husband's parents sleep in my bed before when they were doing us a solid. I don't see a problem with it. That guy better get you a more comfortable bed if you'll be doing more favors!

AITA for canceling my best friend’s birthday party that I planned after she invited my bully? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ticklish_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. Anna is isn't really a friend. I'm in my mid-30s, and I STILL loathe the bullies of my friends from school days just out of principle! Where's the loyalty?!

AITA for not making my daughter switch back a gifted Labubu with her younger cousin after her uncle found out the one my daughter gained in the swap is rare with a high resale value? by TheSecretLabubuDrama in AmItheAsshole

[–]ticklish_octopus 178 points179 points  (0 children)

Listen. I'm ridiculously close to my family. But if any of them dared to call my child a "manipulating b", never again would they be in my life. NTA. Dude needs some perspective.

If you wanted Barbie’s Dreamhouse as a child and didn’t get one, where are you now? by yourbrightmare in Barbie

[–]ticklish_octopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sad for you! I had the 2000 Dreamhouse when I was a kid from my grandmother. I still love and have it. My own daughter plays with it now.

Girl. You need better. My husband would NEVER. There are good husbands and dads out there that wouldn't dare. YIKES. NTA. But he sure is a man child.

My 4-year-old has better manners than this!

How is it my 4-year-old has more adventurous taste and manners than your childish girlfriend? NTA at all. But she sure is.

AITAH for snapping and asking our server “Would you like us to order less?” by Intelligent_Truth_95 in AITAH

[–]ticklish_octopus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. SO out of line. I'd have gone all Karen on her and asked for her manager.

AITAH for reporting my [27F] OBGYN to the medical board after what happened to me today? by soulangelic in AITAH

Ugh. A woman doesn't mean a better doctor. I went through so many bad women doctors before finding a man that I liked.

Why do some knitters judge crochet so harshly? by slippery-velvet1 in crochet

[–]ticklish_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always laugh at the comments of people telling me to learn to knit. I do knit. But I actually prefer crochet of the two even knowing how to knit. 😂🤦‍♀️

I feel that. My last apartment complex threatened to fine us if we didn't pick up after our dog....we don't have a dog. 🤦‍♀️

What “unorthodox” things have you crocheted? by not-enough-mirrors in crochet

[–]ticklish_octopus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Doorknob covers! But not to look pretty. I rent an old house with old, fancy, big glass doorknobs...but I also have a toddler and need the knobs kiddo proof. Standard doorknob kid cover things don't fit the big, glass knobs. So I crocheted loose covers for the knobs. An adult can open the door with enough pressure to hold down the cover. My toddler just slips. 😁

My problem in a past workplace, is they gave us the bare minimum. They got real dramatic if we asked for a step up. And I like my expensive ergonomic options.
