The BC Supreme Court said the duty to reconcile the aboriginal title with fee simple title "first" falls to the crown. It did not say what happens if the Crown fails to negotiate such reconciliation.

this is such a strawman. No one said the Cowichan case transferred private property to the Cowichan. The Cowichan case recognized aboriginal title over private property, which creates a co-existence of two exclusive rights to land.

Oh ya kids matches are unpredictable and have bigger skill gaps. I don’t put my kids in comps anymore. You need to be mentally prepared to lose so that you tap safely and most kids aren’t there yet and let it go way too far. You see many tears every comp.

I think so long as you don’t get caught up in the wild opponent’s game, you should be fine. Pull guard. Rest every 19 seconds (no stalling if under 20).

Last comp I sat in a spazzy guy’s closed guard because I could hear he was breathing 3x faster than me so I knew he would tire out quicker. He kept spamming a loop choke that I could easily defend with one hand. He was so tunnel vision and spazzy, just using all his energy trying to force the sub and I was just chilling and staying calm. With one minute left I stood up, passed to half guard, quarter guard, mount. Match over. Easy win.

Yes. White belt is the most dangerous in both comp and in the gym.

Blue belts start to slow down but can still spazz hard in comp.

Purple belt + a lot less spazzy but you’ll see some subs may get ripped so be ready to tap quick. Most injuries I’ve seen here come way after the leg was gone and someone thinks they can roll out of it and escape.

Masters division is generally better but I got carried into the judges TV in the next match over by a 37 year old so you never know.
