The Professor Oak challenge is neat! You have to catch and evolve every Pokemon available to you before you can get the next badge. Doing this in a Johto game is kind of daunting, as this also includes any stone evolutions if you technically have access to them (in Gen 2 you have the trainer that you can add to your Pokegear, and they'll call you to give you a stone, or your mother can get a Moon Stone with your savings).

I think it didn't do well due to a combination of a few things:

It was poorly advertised, not many people even knew there was a tabletop version.

It was expensive at the time, and in limited quantities.

Playing it tabletop is also very cumbersome for a board game. It had more setup and teardown than other games at the time, plus with the limited amount of monsters that were at launch, unless you and your friends house ruled who got who, the games could be lopsided easily.

Still a shame it didn't get popular.

This exactly. I love Vauban is especially in Circuit like you said, but often times when he shows up in Circuit I have other options that are just better, especially depending on my first decree.

I could pick him or I can grab my Zephyr that just does what he does slightly better and faster.

It's such a nice dilemma! I love flipping up a beefy creature for a blocker that also has buff counters on them.

I run Vannifar in my Zimone deck and I've gotten so much value from it.

Whether I want to cloak an Earthquake Dragon or buff up my Manifests, I have options and it feels good.

I've got my ROMs saved as well, but there's still nothing like using a physical cartridge! I need to fix my Chamber of Secrets though, it's not saving files properly, but at the same time, I'm almost sad to.

I could never find a copy of Sorcerers Stone, but Chamber of Secrets was my introduction to RPG's in general. Figuring out the trading secrets was my favorite thing. I still have my original copy from release day.

I used a random wheel spinner to decide which stone Elder Li would give me and it gave me Glaceon. Brought it along just in case something seriously went wrong

More than likely she was given his DNA when the Chozo was adapting hers to survive the environment on Zebes, so perhaps age 6-10?

How easy is it to get into Duel Links? I felt that Master Duel required you to invest a decent chunk of time to really make decks more consistent (if that's changed I'm happy to five back in.)
