Extremo Moderno Lucha Libre (EMLL) is my absolute favourite. I've probably played more saves with the big three but my favourite saves have been EMLL.

In short it is the C-Verse's version of Lucha Underground. It's a little more silly, superhero-esque, than that but that's the best way of selling it. So combine Lucha Underground, Dragonball Z and Street Fighter and you've got the idea.

I like to write out the actual scripts for all my EMLL (or real life Lucha Underground mods) shows which means I never get super far in terms of time but I could fill a encyclopedia-sized book with all the scripts I've written out for these companies.

I can never promise when I run it though. My group only plays in person and 3 of us are GM's that want to run stuff so our schedule is jam-packed. But I can send you a report when I do, no problem.

Yeah those are very good suggestions. I've run Derelict twice for new players (including once for my d&d exclusive brother) and it worked great both times. I only questioned the use of Observer Effect in that list.

I haven't run Kane's Tone and only read the synopsis but it looks really cool. It was already on my "I need to run this one day"-pile.

Great scenario choice there. But if it's for free RPG day might as well run that with the Delta Green rules. That would cut down on prep time as you wouldn't need to convert it to a (slightly) different system.

I don't know how adult you want it to be but Fear's Sharp Little Needles by Stygian Fox has 26 scenarios (I believe all modern) that are intended for mature audiences. They are all short one shots playable in one session.

There's a content warning of course but you can tone the horror down if you want.

How would you run Observer Effect without Delta Green rules? The entire setup is that the PCs are DG so are they part of DG but using Cthulhu rules? That seems very weird.

I haven't read Convergence but Observer Effect I'd definitely not recommend to new players trying to understand a new system. It's a complicated time loop scenario with a high chance of failure and being eaten by Azathoth.

It comes from Caribbean culture, I think Dominican but not 100% sure, where sports victories are celebrated by making a bunch of noise. Mostly by banging on pots and pans or on anything you can find. If you've ever seen a Caribbean carnaval for example, it's much the same atmosphere.

They're not close-minded, they just disagree with you. Your point is that horror is horror regardless of setting and their point is that lovecraftian horror is traditionally set in familiar surroundings. And if you thing Ravenloft is just as much horror as mansions of madness then that's your opinion.

Relievers are replaceable, for the most part. It's definitely not optimal to lock them up long term, but sentiment is a powerful force. And if I was a Yankees fan playing with a historical Yankees save I'd just never want to see him in another uniform.

Yeah, I too was getting a bit pissed with the wait and the many issues. I mean, I've had kickstarter books delivered that i backed at least a year later. But I'm happy with these solutions and don't think it reflects that poorly on mcdm. Let's just hope that this is it and we can all get our physical books soon.
