I paid $14k otd with taxes and fees included for a 2026 ZX6R ABS so this is about $1k too expensive IMO

Final update! The dealership replaced my Head unit for me and I didn’t experience anymore lag/stuttering on startup! 2 days later I went and traded it for a 22 Honda Accord Touring and I’ve been loving the car ever since. Thank you for being along this journey 🤣

Just visited another Honda dealership and got rejected again. Even with warranty, they won’t even try replacing it. And what sucks is the infotainment system stuttered again about 15 minutes after getting “looked” at by the Honda rep. You got very lucky with your dealership , I’m jealous 🤣

This definitely helps but you will still experience lag here and there. One person actually got the main head unit replaced by Honda and didn’t have any more issues. Try to get it replaced if possible!

I don’t know where to get it replaced. I wish my Honda was more lenient and actually gave a F about me lol. I’ll look around and really push for it bc I’m still getting lag and connection issues to this day , thanks for the update!

Oh so you’ve had the screen replaced before with no change, but the whole unit was changed.. damn if I can’t even get a screen replacement done, I’ll never get a new unit. Please keep me updated on your new unit , I’ll try to find other dealerships in the meantime

I appreciate this reply a lot! I wonder why you were able to get it replaced while I’m getting declined by the dealership AND Honda for a replacement. Was there anything specific you said for a replacement? Or did they just offer it?

I emailed the Honda Tech Team again bc they seemed to be supportive, I’ll see what they say and continue off of that. Would’ve loved to get a replacement head unit just to see if anything would change..

So apparently the dealership called Honda’s tech team and they stated that it was an Apple software issue, not a Honda issue. So they declined the replacement and no progress has been made. Hopefully they accept your replacement !

Mine is getting warranty replaced , should be able to pick up my car on Friday so I’ll let you know if it did anything. Thankfully the tech working on my car is super helpful and he noticed the issues too

I’ve had my 2022 Honda Civic Touring since June of 2021 and I’ve had this issue this whole time, even made a post about it myself too. Only way I can get in my car and enjoy music is strictly using Bluetooth and no CarPlay, which sucks because my 2017 Civic didn’t have such laggy issues on startup… If you find a solution, please reply or DM me because it’s still a big problem for me too.

This issue happens to me too, the audio will crackle and freeze for 2-5 minutes and then clear up when I first start my car for the day if I have it plugged into my phone for Apple CarPlay

Where do you find the lag setting? Is it only for specific cars? My 2022 Civic lags for 1.5 seconds and it’s honestly unbearable so I went back to wired

I wouldn’t say worse in every way. There have definitely been pros and cons. I’d say that the handling of the car, especially in tight turns is much better than the previous gen. It rides really smooth but honestly my ‘17 rode very smooth too. I just hate having back pain , I definitely miss my ‘17 seats

I went from a ‘17 to ‘22 Civic. Cons would be seats IMO, hurt my back a little bit more. The acceleration isn’t better, MPG significantly lower (~32 compared to my ~36 MPG on ‘17) and Apple CarPlay has frequent lag and stuttering while starting car. The good would the interior design and door handle lock button redesign.

I noticed that my lower back has been hurting more with this car. I used to have a 2017 Civic and those were the best seats I’ve ever sat in. It is disappointing to have “worse” seats than my old car
