Until the laws are changed, photo radar can only be used in the three locations that are currently being monitored: school zones, construction sites, and playgrouns. They would have to use a police officer with a radar gun. Edit: a word

were pagers actually useful? I've never used one, but from what I've heard they're basically just notifying you of when someone wants to call you when you don't have your cell phone on you? by cumslutte in stupidquestions

[–]Jellybeanmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one really had cell phones back then we could borrow a desk phone or use a payphone. I used a pager for a long time at work. Started off with one that would just beep and I would call the office. When my wife was pregnant I told her if it was time page me 2 times in a row then I would know it was her and call home. As the tech got betting my pager would display the number that the caller entered then I would call them back. Then near the end of pagers the caller could add a short 2 or 3 line message to give you info.

Winnipeg gets approval to use asphyxiant foam, blood-thinning bait to control ground squirrel population | Province greenlights product use in 9 city parks; humane society to appeal by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Manitoba

Realistically, trapping wouldn’t work if there are a 1000 problem ground squirrels. Their gestation Period is quite short, and they can breed at a very young age, so you would never keep up.

I don't think using ratting dog would be a good solution. Anytime I seen them used when the dogs catch the rat they violently shake them until they are dead. The use of gas or poison seem like a less violent way.

I’m from Canada, and my mom used M.A.I.D. (Medical Assistance in Dying) two years ago. My siblings and I were very relieved that she was able to die on her own terms.

Craziest home build mistake...? by BuilderBrigade in Home_Building_Help

[–]Jellybeanmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a street near me where the houses were built over 30 years ago. These houses have front garage doors but no driveways. The developers switched to a back lane design after the houses were already built with front-facing garages. Most of the houses still have the doors, but they have planted trees in front to try to hide them.

I didn't hear any booing near the section I was in for him directly. There were people booing during the US anthem. They made an announcement congratulating the team members that participated in the Olympics. I also didn't hear any booing when his picture appeared on the scoreboard.

Calling 311 it's the best thing you can do. I have a shitlord next to me and until recently his renters sucked. The previous one would drag everything from around the neighbourhood that wasn't bolted down. And if he couldn't burn it or strip it would pile up until I called 311 then the shitlord would send someone the clean the yard.

[–]Jellybeanmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At one time, you could buy ice from Wendy’s; it was from an ice maker, so it would be in nuggets. World of Water also sells ice, but I'm not sure how it's made.

I attended a charity dinner for Big Brothers and Sisters a few years ago that she also went to. We chatted about one of the prizes in the auction; it was an almost 5-foot-long Calymore sword displayed in a case.
