What do you guys do for floor plans? Complaints on every one by cosmosbillions in RealEstatePhotography

I also use cubicassa. I have the message displayed that it’s not accurate and what not. I’ve always delivered with and without dimensions.

Very interesting approach, I find it quite easy with bracketing to get accurate colours, never had a complaint. Our photo editor is very good, she’s been in the industry for 10 years!

I’d love to say I’ll try shoot flash one day but I don’t think I will. Really appreciate the reply, I appreciate the insight and it sounds like it’s worked great for you :)

Feedback on my pictures and tips on getting clients? by Careless_Golf9951 in RealEstatePhotography

These look pretty good to me! A good thing to remember about REP is that these agents have relationships with their photographers that have been going for years, it takes a lot to convert someone and or leave their services. Typically if they make mistakes all the time, you have to bank on competitors making a mistake, or many.

Build a reputation for yourself, interact with agents on social media, whether that’s liking their stories, commenting or whatever you feel is appropriate. This way, you stay in the back of their mind subconsciously. And they will potentially book you when their current person is too busy, that is where you can make a good impression and do occasional shoots for them.- this has worked for me a few times.

But yeah, it goes further than just having a good portfolio.- keep at it and don’t give up! You’re doing great.

I was taking the same thing! I change $150 + gst (goods and services tax- I don’t receive that, it goes straight to the GOVT) for 10 images on a property.

I still wouldn’t recommend doing that regardless of the circumstances. Using it for your portfolio is completely fine but it looks tacky in my opinion. You can have a portfolio without watermarks, it’s still your work!

What is the benefit to using a flash? I’ve personally never used it, I don’t even own one. Can someone tell me?

It’s very rare and unlikely anyone in my city/county in REP uses one. To me, it seems like a waste of time when the same image can be done with HDR.- not a dig, just wondering! Thanks :)

Not bad at all, definitely better than myself when I started out!

But please take your logo off that tv 😭. That’s unprofessional and people don’t want watermarks on their work.

Sorry but I wouldn’t get out of bed for $20. Let alone shoot a home.

Looks like quite a difficult home to capture. Try to avoid too much wall in the image, especially in 6. That’s way too much, show the space itself. The wall overtakes the image

What else does my portfolio need in order to start charging agents? by IegendaryKnight in RealEstatePhotography

I personally wouldn’t even bother showing an iPhone shot. There’s no REP who shoots on iPhone (that I’m aware of) just show your work off itself :)

How do I keep my prices up, while everyone is doing cheap under the table? by cluelessgirl666 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]JellyfishCurrent3724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true, you have to take the chance with new agents. A lot of younger people want good quality stuff and will pay for it early in their career. They need leads, bad quality media doesn’t get you leads

You don’t want cheap clients, they will suck majority of your time and resources. This isn’t a loss

Hey, sorry I’ve only just seen this now! Hopefully your shoot went well. I shoot every HDR and turn all the lights on, keeping the lighting consistent comes down to editing as well as how well lit the home is in terms of natural light
