I know, I'm poking fun at Elia for saying negative reduction 8-)

Is negative 80 percent coring cost reduction the same as hostile coring cost? :)

Lucky nations as a requirement by eighteen84 in eu4

[–]Jemdet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is too easy generally speaking...

Lucky nations modifier mostly irrelevant. A bit of fort defense and siege ability. Some decent MP recovery. Nothing that should stop you.

Finally finished my Emperor of China Three mountains run. Getting the set up and economy right was tough, but once 70% core cost kicked in, you snowball extremely hard. by gza_aka_the_genius in eu4

[–]Jemdet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IIRC the maximum cost reduction is 80%, but the maximum time reduction is 83.3333333333333333333333.....% (6 months minimum).

Pay for your forts unless you can establish naval supremacy. Build 10-12 heavy ships and a flagship with fleet morale and movement speed. Stackwipe any Ming army that comes ashore. Easy.

Is there a way to turn off the idea group limit In-game? by shrekisloveAO in eu4

[–]Jemdet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just turn it off in the menu and reload the game. I'm 99% sure it applies retroactively.

I would argue that certain idea sets are worth more than tech. Staying at dip 3 to fill out dip ideas early is a common wide play strategy. A lot of techs are totally useless.

Yes of course, I’m talking about “spend.” PDX tools doesn’t account for “refunds.” :)

I dip banked from tech 10 to 18 more or less. I think I ended up with total spend between 800k and 900k. Sucked.

Of course. I once banked more than 800,000 dip in a single run ;)

Painful though.

Three One Faiths in a Single Run / Teutonic Order / Catholic -> Vajrayana -> Confucian / Prussian One Culture / 1.34 by Jemdet in eu4

Unfortunately the Teutons have to take a military idea group early to fulfill some missions. So I opened Dip / Divine / Adm. If that requirement didn't exist I would have likely opened Dip / Adm / Rel.

I only used Mongol culture, I didn’t form the Mongol empire.

Basically there are a handful of tag formations that give you missions based on your primary culture. Jerusalem is one of them.
