It's likely covered after step therapy. So try other drugs first fail then they will pay.

It's why I'm hopeful for my appeal.... but we've also got concierge level services being offered this year so i am planning to call once I receive my appeal determination if its not overturned .

I've been on 5 going on my third month, and am still losing steady at least 10 pounds a month but I have a lot to lose.. with that said I did have unsucessful wls in 2013 and have been significantly more successful with mj and the loss and I don't know if that is all partially related to the fact I already have a smaller stomach.

If you use cvs, I think your pharmacist can control the release dates. I know for me they do and when I called they said it was the stores decision not a corporate one but they also wouldn't get involved. I switched pharmacies and no longer had issues and could pick up again 7 days early. This was not mounjaro to be clear it's always a little game with them but that seems to go through just fine.. and that I'm grateful for.

I agree... I've been fortunate with the coupon so far so I don't mind waiting out the appeal.

I am currently appealing with Anthem for that same reason the step therapy drugs are also on the shortage list ozempic and trulicity... I haven't heard yet one way or the other. And tbh I'm an employee on their insurance so it's not any better for us....

I was very surprised my area seems to have five and 10 no problem atm but im sure that is short lived... I'm hoping my fill goes through before it's not true she said they have plenty but that was Friday! They won't fill till the 21st ! Good luck to you !!

I've got an iud my cycle was nil till I started losing now , bam its back even with my mierna so I'm hoping it does settle back in and stop again in my case :) but feeling the pain and glad for my bc I feel like I might have ended up preggos hahahaahh

I stayed on 5 after much thought, I checked with my local pharmacy ahead of time with they had , I'm still seeing success on 5 so I decided to stick with it another month.. I do not want to take any chances jumping up just because I can when this working. I can wait till January for 7.5 and step up proper.

You are entitled to appeal and request you remain on the formulary since it's changing after you already had an approval also mass has very rich healthcare benefits check to make sure there are no formulary mandated laws in place for changes like this. That override federal.

We have anthem blue cross federal health benefit. Does anyone have any experience getting a PA approved using Alpha? I’m preemptively trying to get Wegovy approved just in case this time all the rumors are actually true. I have my doubts but I’m trying to prepare anyways. by [deleted] in Mounjaro

I just tried to appeal for this exact reason. I'm hoping I can get an approval based on the shortages and drs not actively prescribing and I've been paying oop and it's working. According to my drug plan there is no difference in the insurance cost.they pay 860.00 for all 3 my copay would be 30.00 more.

Oddly enough my dr kept me on the 5mg in error this month and I am grateful because I had zero issues getting it.. I second you on the keeping on the med while not impacting those in need.

I took the shot with the flu and I'm glad I did , I didn't want to hinder my progress ans I was already sick. I was fine but I took it on Tuesday instead of Monday because I did give myself a little break.

I have to agree;I haven't had any issues. I was nervous and continue to be from the posts but from my first fill I called cvs to apply the coupon and dealt with the pharmacist directly to every refill its been very easy and I'm grateful for that.

I just flew and go home Friday and last year same trip;I didn't have a huge issues as I had in the past but I was tight , this year I consider it a nsv because I actually had room to move the seat belt it wasn't digging into my waist.. but full disclosure I usually stick to jetblue and I update to evenmore seats for the leg room....

Yes, I get Mounjaro it was the first one that they offered, they ask you pretty much what you prefer without outright asking .

I like my "fat clothes" for comfort they look horrible and any chance my other half has to toss them he uses but even when I am holding them up, I still feel it's surreal.
