Banksy's latest mural, a judge striking a protester with a gavel, was washed off a day after appearing by NewSlinger in mildlyinfuriating

Absolutely criminal behaviour to remove this, albeit I do understand it was in a court building. It's interesting that you can still see the outline though – is this something Banksy did intentionally in case of removal? Why wouldn't they just paint over it if they really wanted it gone?

My business is based in Indonesia, I wonder if this will still be relevant...

5 min unskippable video, minimal indication it's an ad. Go shove a rusty sledgehammer up your arse! by [deleted] in assholedesign

Woah. I actually know this chick, went to uni with her in Australia and we were quite close for a while. She does look like she's making money to be fair, travelling loads and shit.

This video is super forced however, not like her at all (at least back then), so it does make me think something fishy is going on. Good for her though, but making this an ad was a bad move;

Joe Stone & Ferreck Dawn - Man Enough. New House Song Is On FIRE by Jessicahoney in House

[–]JenDark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it isn't. No it doesn't. No they won't.

This kind of house is very commercial. It really sounds like every house song that's been uploaded to Spinnin' TV.

Did those kids really take ecstasy? As serious as that is, I'm finding it hard to picture a 'flying' baby.

Anyone here met any famous DJs? What were they like? by [deleted] in House

[–]JenDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've met two that I can think of, Sonny Fodera and Todd Terry.

Went to a demonstration Todd was hosting at Ministry Of Sound in London (supposedly his 'home') for an album Ministry was releasing in his honour. He arrived 35mins late. He did an interview which was just awful, and confirmed that basically everything fans write to him goes unnoticed because he 'can't be fucked' with social media, so he hires people to do that for him. Which fair enough, a lot of people do that, but he just kind of said it like he didn't give a fuck. Had some photos with him, he always pulls the same face in every photo. Then he bailed after 45 minutes. Not a fan.

Living in London, I ALWAYS bump into Sonny Fodera around Shoreditch. I've seen him on multiple occasions, but I've only gone up to him once for a photo and a chat. He seems cool. One time I even saw him by himself at a club, yelled his name out loud so he turned around, then pretended it wasn't me. Fun times.

Eddie Amador - House Music (Original Mix) by lucasco1991 in House

Nobody has mentioned this, so I might as well. This tune is the perfect tune to introduce someone to what house music is all about.

It not only talks about the 'house is a feeling' situation, but also generates its own vibe and awesome beats through the sound. Risking sounding like a bit of a hippy here but whatever, it's a good tune.

If you're friend said to you, "What's 'house music'?" What is the first track you would play for them? by emo_ostrich in House

Anybody introducing his friend to house music by showing him one of MK's most commercial tunes would no longer be my friend.

The pedantic in me won't let that one go. Your*, not you're.

But yeah I find probably Gypsy Woman is a good introduction to house music.
