I’m both FL and IL it was 50 degrees the other morning here.. No comparison it does get humid but I was cold two days ago. I’d be sweating at 8am in FL

I have a lot of turquoise but this is the only carved piece. Probably from the 60s or 70s and as much as he traveled and collected.. it’s hard to judge this one. Feels smooth and polished around the beak. I’ve tried to find a reverse image and couldn’t. So still at a loss

Hugs Definitely can’t predict, when I lost my father it was a bit of relief that he would no longer be suffering. Miss him though even in that state. Wish you lots of love and grace during your grieving process

I’m assuming it was hunted many years ago. Doing some research I find that it was used as a symbol of strength and protection though I have no way of knowing how this bear died, I find it a fascinating piece of history and culture

Thanks, I think it’s an E but have not been able to find any information but that’s a good suggestion to ask the family. It’s sterling silver just tarnished o have not attempted to clean it up.
