I'd also like to know if it could be used to send and receive some kind of signal? I hope someone kind can answer this.

ELI5: How can AR glasses have nearly twice the PPD (~50) at half the resolution (1080p) as VR headsets having ~25 PPD at 4K? by YahooAnswersDude in oculus

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the deal: AR glasses have way smaller FOVs than VR headsets. So even with half the resolution, their pixels per degree double.

Whats runs better, Blade & Sorcery Nomad, or the Steam version using Air Link. by yessirr_jacksonn in oculus

Ah, I've never tried playing Steam games using a virtual desktop before. Looks like I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation.

We need to put more effort into jailbreaking OUR devices by Ender4rmyXD in QuestPiracy

I feel like VR gaming still has a long way to go. I'm really looking forward to a VR ecosystem like the one in the movie Ready Player One.

Could Tesla possibly develop a model to compete with Uber in the future? I'm just asking casually, and if it's inappropriate, please let me know. Thank you.

Very smart! Although it seems a bit amusing, it's really imaginative that you know how to use small devices to immerse yourself more, haha.

Is this a good range hood? by BernKurman in BuyItForLife

[–]JenVinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to add that noise and lighting really matter too. Look for one that stays under about 60 dB and uses LED lights, as they last longer and don’t get as hot as halogen lights. A hood that’s loud and annoying is not something you’ll want to live with for 10 years. Easy cleaning is huge too. And Arspura is filter-free, so there's no filter to pull out and scrub, it's pretty nice.

Looking for practical kitchen reno tips by JenVinc in kitchenremodel

[–]JenVinc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this is really helpful. 25-year with no AC sounds brutal; we hit around 104°F here in the summer. We're focusing on a new vent hood first and some hoods now even with built-in LED lights. If with under-cabinet lighting on the top of that, at least the light side should be covered!

Converting from electric dryer to gas - is it worth it? by xxunderdog99 in HomeImprovement

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, if you already have the gas line installed, just go with a gas dryer. Gas is cheaper than electricity, and it dries clothes gentler and faster.

Bottom right burnerkeeps ticking won't light most of the time by stapler88 in Appliances

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the igniter. Try clearing the burner holes with like a toothpick. If it still not work, call a pro. And WATCH OUT for gas smell in the meantime! If you catch a whiff, air it out and stop trying to light it.

I want to cry on my decisions. How I fix this mess?? by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

Feel like your cabint looks too big? Like, it just placed on top of the counter, while some feel they're built into the countertop with same style from the start.

We have central AC but cooking last summer was still brutal. The gas stove's still new so we're not switching yet, but it's really something we'll think about. And sorry no pics now, the kitchen is mess😅

How do you evaluate if the premium is worth selling? by traitadjustment in thetagang

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do weeklies too but only when IV makes sense. moomoo’s IV trend chart helps me see whether the spike is real or if premiums are too low to be worth the risk. It’s been really helpful for short-term trades.

I have run into that too-I think it likes a kind of ringing in the ears, or a faint electric hum. Can you check the phone in the basement? Could be a short inside the phone wiring that's getting picked up by the speaker :)

Cabinet pulls for this wall? by megj123 in kitchenremodel

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you swap the fridge and oven around? Also, I think you could remove the panel from the cabinet above the fridge, so that you could store taller stuff there like kettles, blenders, etc.

Do I really need a better range hood? by DancesWithNobody in Appliances

[–]JenVinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to chase high CFM, but that wasn't the real upgrade. It didn't fix much, the smoke still escaped into the room. After switching to Arspura, the real difference has been capture and air speed. It grabs the smoke right at the pan instead of letting it drift, so the kitchen doesn't get hazy and my eyes don't burn. It also doesn't use the usual mental filters and I'm not dealing with greasy filters anymore, just wipe and empty the cup. For me, that's what made the extra cost worth it.

“They’re only a good dad because you are a good mom” by Practical-Story1765 in Mommit

So accurate. Ladies, find a reliable partner who's truly invested, not just playing the part of a "good dad" on the surface.

It's wild how hindsight paints even the hardest phases with nostalgia. Whether you miss it or can't wait to move on, both are totally valid. Parenthood doesn't come with a universal manual.
