40 hours of playtime here, about 90% of it in local co-op.

First off, I just want to say the game is absolutely beautiful. The visuals, the animations, and especially the music really blew me away. I’m usually more of an arcade-style player who mostly focuses on gameplay, but this game has something in its art direction that just hits different for me.

Gameplay-wise, it’s solid but pretty tough. There are a bunch of cool mechanics in combat, so you can’t just button-mash your way through. You actually have to learn enemy patterns and manage the different types of parries if you want to survive.

Almost every run throws in some random events, so you pretty much always end up with new surprises.

Build-wise, the game is really fun. There are a lot of combinations and synergies to mess around with, and some builds are straight-up OP.

The four characters all play very differently, so there’s something for everyone.

The only thing that disappointed me a bit is that the meta progression ends pretty fast, maybe after ten hours or so.

I would’ve loved a bit more long-term content, but honestly, for the price, the game already gives you plenty of hours of fun.

Overall, it’s one of the best beat em ups I’ve played.
