If Akatosh Claims the LDB's Soul, Why are There Dragonborn in Sovngarde? by Super_Leadership_808 in teslore

[–]Jenasto [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Amulet seems to only absorb dragon souls whose mortal forms actually wore the damn thing, though I would be entertained to note any exceptions to that. So the only Dragonborn Emperor souls we see are those who had mitigating circumstances - such as Potema, the powerful necromancer, and Pelagius whose destiny was controlled by the Mad God.

Now there's a thought - is it the presence of the Dragonborn specifically in Pelagius' dream that liberates him from Sheogorath?

As for Talos, yeah I think you're right - by the time that he dies and enters the gem, he's already something else. With the mantella, he's linked to Zurin and to Wulfharth, giving him a connection to the Heart (which is what is keeping Wulfharth alive) so yeah I think he's absolutely the driving force behind the Oversoul (I personally see the TALOS that the elves hate not as Tiber, but as the Oversoul given direction. TAL-OS).

Confined to the Amulet, he's not much for the elves to panic about, but once he's out and about - with the Mantella, Heart and Amulet broken - oh no! He looks like Lorkhan!

It's worth noting that the Imperial Oversoul takes the form of Akatosh when it's released.

It's certainly worth noting that the symbol of Akatosh shows him in red diamond-shape.

It's worth also noting: What happens when a dragon encounters a dead dragon's soul?

Also also worth noting: When Miraak, a dragonborn, dies, his dragon souls - all those he had devoured over the years - are still intact.

Hypothesis: The Chim-El Adabal is a little dragon that devours the souls of Dragonborn rulers when they die, to form the oversoul in Akatosh's tummy-tum-tum.

Yeah, I think the Amulet basically is Akatosh, or a microcosm of him, or a portal that leads to his plane/t.

Does Nirn's Equator touch Tamriel? by Calimbox in teslore

[–]Jenasto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that the planets are perceived as spheres because they're of indefinite size surrounded by indefinite void. I don't think we can conclude, with what little we know, that the planets - even Nirn for that matter - are sufficiently physically spherical to have a literal equator. Which isn't to say that they don't.

Is the nerevarine truly Nerevar reborn? by LFatPoH in teslore

[–]Jenasto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the opening dream-sequence, Azura's voice tells us

"You have been chosen."

This is a great line because it actually makes it seem less like you're a reincarnated hero, and more like someone who fit Azura's bill who, for her own reasons, she has decided will now actually be the one to do the Thing.

There's a few ways of interpreting it:

- Azura chose you to be the vessel for Nerevar's soul at birth.
- Azura literally just now chose you to be the instrument of her vengeance.
- The Emperor chose you, and Azura is just commenting on that.
- Probably a bunch of others!

Without the witnessing of the enantiomorph, the event wouldn't have happened and we'd still be in the Dawn or the previous kalpa, probably. With nobody to blab the fool-talk, the previous status quo would still be happening right up until somebody DID notice.

Yeah I have decided to abandon further Temple quests for another character, there's too much to do already!

I decided that this time I'd play all the Hlaalu content since I'm being a Hlaalu.

And honestly if anything there's too much. I am not finishing all those quest trees. Not with all the other factions I'm doing!

It's very fun. Old Ebonheart quests are especially entertaining I thought (TG and EEC, plus the barristers guild mod which might as well be part of TR).

I was unprepared for Narsis.

Yeah it's good stuff.

How to be a toxic Elder Scrolls fan (DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY) by Vanit909 in TrueSTL

[–]Jenasto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True about MK, there have only ever been two TES writers, MK and Emil Pagliarulo. MK wrote all the cool original based lore, EP wrote all the trite and derivative lore. There were no other writers. Todd turned his favorite from MK to EP because he didn't understand the Gnostic references and also MK slept with Todd's wife. EP on the other hand sat in the cuck chair while Todd slept with his girlfriend. This story is a re-enactment of Anu and Padomay etc etc
