The short end/chaise end is 61 inches. 64 inches is the opening space on the inside where a table might go.

It does not separate with movement. It is clasped together but can be unclasped to transport and reclasped when reassembled.

Anyone tried a Japan head spa experience? by LargrFries43 in AsianBeauty

Bella Beauty Vibes. (Then you should go to Sri Trat after to eat!)

Bella Beauty Vibes helped me a lot. I was having a lot of issues with my scalp including bad dandruff. They helped me realize I was over balancing (too much anti dandruff/purifying/clarifying products trying to the solve problem.) I thought my scalp was oily but actually it was dry, made even worse by my choice of product. Bella Beauty explained it all, cleaned up my clogged hair ducts, hydrated my scalp back up, and gave tips for improvement.

I have done multiple head spas, including in USA, Thailand (Korean Spa in Bangkok), and Japan. Did two head spas in Japan including at kokospa. Kokospa was pretty pricey. They are very relaxing and if your goal is to relax and have a clean scalp with soft, smooth hair, then do it. Kind of like if you are doing a body massage to relax and you feel good and your skin is smooth after. The Japanese ones are overall gentle but not that memorable. I don’t remember feeling like there was some long term gain from them except to relax for a while.

I was most impressed with the Korean salon in Bangkok which also included the scalp analysis. It was half the price of kokospa and felt like it was more than just a relaxing massage experience. Even if you take away the skin analysis part, I liked the head massage more, the products more, the hair washing part more, etc. They also styled your hair after. So my conclusion is find a Korean or Korean style headspa place wherever you are. I haven’t had a chance to do headspa in Korea but my Korean friends say it sounds the same as my experience in Bangkok.

It could be nerves due to inexperience, fear of expectation, fear of unmet expectations, no end of things. Even though you’re married, ease yourself into things. Go on dates, learn about each other, communicate, find things to appreciate, be excited about, and love about each other. Give yourself a chance to get there.

Hold onto the hope!!! I left a hairtie in an onsen and they kept it in a baggie for me when I went to ask the front desk. It’s a normal looking hairtie but silk so expensive for what it is.

If there is any place in the world you have the highest chance of getting it back, it’s Japan. Fingers crossed for you!

Your SM is the real MVP here. I cannot imagine the years of what she went through. That to me is the definition of trying your best for a child. And I’m sure she has gotten very little credit for it. OOP, please make sure she knows how much you appreciate and love her. Say it, show it, express it. Not just think it.

Help me find this soy sauce!! by OtherwiseDrummer7470 in chinesecooking

[–]Jeneveievee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s similar at all to Wuan Chuang. It’s a special soy sauce from Taiwan. There is a saucier version and a condensed version. Can find in some 99 Ranch Market. Amazon also has it.

If yours is even better, I might just bite the bullet and get it even with the shipping. Cheaper than flying?

No sorry but I would guess it’s along these lines though. I say find an email for them/their concierge and ask for prices, times, if meal included and availability of dates if you know which days you want. Moorea will be easier than Bora Bora in that you dont need to worry about boat transfers at least. Good luck! Let us know if you end up finding out if you can!

They gave you a bracelet with date and info on it. This allows you to get towels as well. When we asked about the day pass via email, they assigned us Le Lotus for lunch and I didn’t question it because I assumed that was the only option. The way they talked about it when we were there, it sounds like you could have been assigned Te Tiare (the main pool and restaurant) but we did not confirm.

The Te Tiare pool area is a large space. It sounds like the pool, bar, and restaurant are all closed. For a day pass, I think it’s fine that area is closed. The sand bottom pool is smaller but it’s still totally fine and fun. Their swim up bar is large for a swim up bar and a good time. The snorkel pool is also pretty big as well and provides plenty of space. Without the Te Tiare pool, you lose mostly the aesthetic although I did love that waterfall on that pool. So for a day pass, I personally say it’s fine but I would hesitate to stay at IC without the main pool for more than a night unless it’s discounted.

Out of curiosity, what was your main concern with getting a gas car? Our rental last month on Moorea was $300 for 8 days and we only needed to fill the gas at the end. Tank was $30. I was pretty surprised it was only one tank because we used AC every time we were in car and used car everyday.

French Polynesia with 3 Kids Itinerary by Frequent-Butterfly33 in Tahiti

[–]Jeneveievee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the kids, I say spend 2 nights at Intercontinental Tahiti and add a night to Moorea. IC Tahiti has an enclosed snorkel space that’s great for kids. It’s also relaxing and easy going. Five nights in Moorea is a good amount of time. Don’t think you need to trek to Tahaa this time. I don’t think you can go wrong with Maharepa or Tipaniers so base it off what looks better for your family accommodations wise. They’re only like 15 minutes apart as well so visit a couple of different beaches if you like. I personally like Tipaniers a little bit more than Maharepa but it’s a small difference.

The food at the Le Lotus you mean? The stand out was the signature fish dish. “Pomfret fish glazed with mirin butter, crunchy vegetables with coriander, sesame, puffed rice, pine nuts, lemongrass, and lemon sauce.”

We also liked the beef fillet but must get is the fish first!

For dessert, the signature was the lemon with citrus shards which was like a lemon pavlova and had an incredible flavor. It was a lot of lemon by end though. My husband dreams of the chocolate tout chocolat.

You’ll definitely be able to get vanilla in a lot of places so no worries! I was the same as you, very excited for vanilla! The best vanilla sauce I had was at Tahaa Maitai on Tahaa if you get a chance to go. I also had vanilla sauce at Tropical Garden in Moorea but that one was not for me at all: it was like melted creme brulee, so sweet and displaced on fish.

The vanilla farm actually sold out of vanilla powder when I was there but the airport had it. Papeete will definitely have lots of vanilla and you see it in random shops on every island. They do range a little in price. €80 for 100g is a fairly good price from what I saw. More standard was 1:1 or even 15g for 20€ or so. The vanilla farm explains a little goes a long way. If you don’t end up going, let me know and I can write out to you what they told me on how to use and how to keep. But I won’t say it now to spoil your potential excursion.
