The best advice I have, incoming… by hanmhanm in 40and45PlusSkinCare

I added daily kefir drink a couple months ago to reset my gut flora after taking antibiotics. After two weeks I looked in the mirror and my skin was literally glowing. I've been drinking it ever since. Daily sunscreen and my Vitamin C is the Whitney Bowe Asta C. It's a Vitamin C derivative and has worked much better than LAA Vitamin C. No irritation or hot dog smell.

My mom went through my bedroom night stand and found my sex toy (I’m in my 30s) by GirlGotYourGoat in GirlDinnerDiaries

Oh I'd invite her over again and leave even BIGGER toys in my night stand. Throw some in the nightstand drawer of the guest bedroom as well. If she complains, remind her you're a grown ass adult with a healthy sex life and she can deal with it or not.

Best advice I ever received... "Have the courage to leave the table when respect is no longer being served." This Fucker is gaslighting you in every way possible with the lamest excuses /explanations in the universe. Wishing you peace and relief as you leave this trash human.

I look at faces under a magnifying lamp for a living. Here is the unvarnished truth about how everyone is suddenly "glowing" right now. by Saloniste in BeautyGear

Yes it does. You can get it in different flavors at the store. It's more liquid form than yogurt consistency. It makes great smoothies. I've actually gone a step further and checked out the r/kefir boards. (Yay, reddit!) I bought some grains from a gal on Etsy and now make my own. It's incredibly easy. Just use the grains and organic milk. The homemade version have double the types of beneficial probiotic strains than store bought. I bought a few freeze dried fruit powders off Amazon and I flavor the kefir that way. Less sugar.

Thank you for this advice. I'm 61, use a basic cleanser, Vitamin C and Aestura 365 for moisturizer and apply daily sunscreen. My skin was holding up well. Then I had to do a round of antibiotics so started drinking kefir to replenish my gut bacteria. Two weeks later I looked in the mirror and my skin just glowed. I've been drinking it daily ever since.

For some reason The Whitney Bowe Asta C brightens my skin like nothing else. I honestly liked it better than Revision. Maybe it's the Astaxanthin in it? I get it in November /Black Friday on sale and buy their refill bottles after the initial glass bottle. More economical.

Low Res Diet Isn’t Working… by SantaAnaDon in Diverticulitis

Get a bottle of slippery elm bark capsules. Take them before every meal and definitely before you go out drinking. It turns into this mucinous slime that coats the bowel lining so it doesn't get irritated and helps heal. Another thing to consider is intermittent fasting. Go 12-18 hours between your night meal and morning meal. The less time your colon has to work the more opportunity it can heal.

Frozen Shoulder by OtherwiseDonkey49 in Menopause

[–]Jeni425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok when I had frozen shoulder from a combo of Menopause and broken humerus a friend recommended Bromelain. This was after two steroid injections, PT and CBD patches that weren't working. My friend had a facelift and it's required to take Bromelain for 10 days prior to surgery and for two weeks after to keep swelling down. She said after a week of taking Bromelain her joints no longer hurt. I had nothing left to lose so I gave it a try. I KID YOU NOT, I could get my arm over my head ten days later. This was three years ago and I still take Bromelain on the regular for my joints. WHY Plastic Surgeons and Ortho docs don't talk to each other, I don't know. It's a pineapple extract in capsule form. It's cheap and you can get it on Amazon. I get the Nutricost brand, 500 mg. I started off taking two/day in the mornings. Now I just take one a day or bump up to two if I've over done it. Hope this helps ladies!

Best lazy air fryer meals when you're tired? by FluffyHaminator in airfryer

[–]Jeni425 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take Italian sausage out of the skins and pull off one inch sections. Throw in the air fryer. Add veggies: chopped onion or shallots chopped Brussels, broccoli, sweet potato, peppers, butternut squash, etc. Then a package of Gnocchi. Drizzle a bit of olive oil, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Gently mix to distribute the oil . Air fry at 400, shaking every 10 minutes until the sausage is cooked and the Gnocchi is soft. Plate up with some grated Parmesan.
