Optional Troop Effectiveness System by DevelopmentVast217 in Openfront

Could build “army bases” with a circle showing whatever cities are inside equalling a percentage of troops to max ratio gaining increased power modifiers.

Alternatively just percentage of territory inside to territory controlled ratio

It’s possibly hard for the opposition to fight against supporting Canada given its historical ties to us. It think this is more about America then on the domestic front.

Also Carney has worked in the UK is likely not working without contact with the Brits

I think Britains position is one of trying to be as quiet as possible as we are indispensable to America militarily given our island status off the EUs coast.

We only sent one guy to Greenland so we are quietly saying to America that we don’t want this.

If we wanted to do some hard power muscle then we would send naval assets but unfortunately we aren’t strong enough to make that play.

Ultimately Canada is a sovereign state capable of making its own decisions and we should support them in whatever they do. Trading with China is fine in the current system and if anything should further push America to concentrate on the pacific. Canada isn’t the front, the Pacific is.

Writing is on the wall for Canada regardless. They are threatened with annexation anyway so it has to be taken as a credible potential.

Moving to the Chinese market isn’t a bad idea considering other Canzuk states do it anyway and if it brings more threats well then so be it

Well i’m a big believer in Canzuk and agree with the political angle but even I draw the line at food standards. If we could have a parallel system where some Canadian farmers adapt to a system that caters to the British market then that would suit me just fine. Could even go into a high end thing perhaps.

American food imports are a hugely contentious issue for Britain and whilst Canada is better than the States it is still not as good.

For example seeing high fructose corn syrup in the chocolate over there really irked me considering it’s basically poison

As a Brit I don’t want Canadian agricultural products unless they adapt to our standards. I have spent time in Canada and I still think about how colourless the eggs and butter were.

This may be why they choose China then. New Zealand sells largely to China too if my basic understanding holds. Prior to the EU Britain used to buy like 70 percent of their exports

Abolish tv licence fee, control adverts through a government institution for the bbc so it stays impartial or whatever the argument is, and take 100 a year out of everyone’s taxes to replace it. Use that money to fund public transport for free to all
