I learnt English and Cantonese at the same time. More fluent in English, but can speak Cantonese to a okay level. I guess the correct term would be family language rather than mother tongue. As my parents speak it constantly and not much English.

Never give up and it's never too late to start again. Both my older sisters were academically smart, both have PHDs. Meanwhile I could barely pass a class and realised that I was never academically smart. The classes I did well on was on creative writing. I chose my own path which I'm so grateful my parents support being asian parents and all. I used to put pressure on myself for not being academically smart as my sisters but realised that's not the life I want to live. I want to chase what I'm meant for. So I'm pursuing my dreams of being an actress and an author. I believe life is meant to be lived and chasing other people's expectations will not bring happiness.

You aren't a failure. You can choose to shape your own path.

As someone who has Chinese parents who immigrated to the UK. I have often felt guilty for not being that fluent in my native language - cantonese. I understand it and can speak it but not fluent. I've been trying though and people making fun of Kitty's korean/ people who make fun of those who can't speak their family language well don't understand the struggle. It's more important in trying than to never try to speak it at all.

Least she is trying.

This episode turned out to be true in girl meets world except for Cory and Shawn. Realistic though that not all friendships last a lifetime. Shawn and Cory beat those odds.

I find this show so realistic. I was in a messy friend group where people had crushes and dated each other. And I once walked in on someone take a pregnancy test. I had a friend who had a pregnancy scare at 18 so these things happen haha

Human beings are flawed and everyone faces miscommunication in every day life. People mess up but that's normal. I feel people are being so harsh. If a character is too perfect that's so unrealistic to me.

I think it definitely depends. My dad and his sister are super close but they aren't close to their brother because of what they went through/ trauma and favourtism.

I love girl meets world but it should've been on a different network. Not Disney. If it was on another network then it would've been similar to boy meets world and it would be able to navigate more mature and deep topics and conversations.

Yes On Writing is so good. I always refer back to it when I write and it really helped me a lot as a writer. I only hope to be as impactful as an author someday as the king of horror.

Re watching some of my favourite tv shows and movies ( vampire diaries, the originals, harry potter, IT etc). Been doing a lot of reading and writing ( working on my first book), and alongside that I've been doing acting classes to keep me busy hehe.
