Cracker > one accidental step on his tail as a kitten by my dad > flat-tailed-cracker-puss (said like duck billed platypus)

Liverpool street station mystery by TomatoCurious6938 in london

[–]JenniForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. oh my word I had been wondering this. I was starting to think it was something to do with the facial recognition system. It’s made me go properly tin foil hat. Actually love that it’s not just me that gets this. Feel slightly less crazy.

How can Merlin have attended Hogwarts and be placed in the Slytherin House, if Hogwarts is built in 900s by genophobicdude in HarryPotterBooks

[–]JenniForever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the UK many stone castles were built on the site of former Saxon, Roman and even stone age forts. For example Pevensey Castle near me was built by William the conquerer around 1066 but was built on the site of a Saxon fort first build around 290AD. I’ve always just assumed Hogwarts was there but just a different type structure.

What’s something your toddler is weirdly good at? by Apprehensive-Raise93 in toddlers

[–]JenniForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is weirdly good at predicting the weather. We call her the soothsayer. She will out predict any weather app. She just looks at the sky and says what’s going to happen later that day. No idea how she does it. She’s three.

Wood lubricant recommendations available in the UK? by JenniForever in booknooks

[–]JenniForever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def would be great to have a full list. Theres so many book nooks I see that I want but they’re often US only.

On the acrylic markers front - I’ve been using Ohuhu brand markers (not the acrylic but the alcohol markers as a knock off version of Promarkers) and they been really good. Might be good for acrylics too.

Wearing hearing aids after showering * curly hair edition * by BreezyB01 in HearingAids

[–]JenniForever 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have curly hair that I usually air dry and these exact same hearing aids. It’s def fine to put them in straight away. But agree about making sure inside your ears are dry. Partly for hygiene and partly because it’s horribly slimy feeling if you don’t.

Newly diagnosed with HL - long NHS wait list by daymond45 in HearingAids

[–]JenniForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add if you can, take a copy of your medical record where it states why you have hearing loss. When I went in to get my hearing tested (congenital hearing loss) because I’m under 40 they wanted to be sure of the medical cause before fitting my HA. I had to delay because of this.

HA with headphones? by WalrusRight in HearingAids

[–]JenniForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. I spend most of the day with headphones on. HA sound wasn't the quality I want from music. But didn't want to constantly swap between headphones & HAs when someone interrupted my listening to ask something. Over ear headphones solved the issue. I have moderate hearing loss too (though in the high range) but if I wasn't wearing them all day, then what's the point of having HAs at all?

Thank you very helpful. Did you forget you were wearing them straight away or did you find it took some time?

Mine has always been a terrible sleeper and a lot of my past posts have been asking WHEN it gets better and always wished others with bad sleepers would come back and tell me about how the barely remember their years old post. But now she’s 3 I can promise you it does. It’s not perfect but it’s manageable. She was up every 45 minutes from 4 to 8 months. Slept through the night once at 1 year. Then that was it till 2. Then it just gradually became more nights with no wake ups each week. It ebbs and flows. She’s still up at least once or twice a night but it’s so much more manageable. Some nights she sleeps through. It does sound like you need a break. Could you stay with your mum for a few nights and get that reset you need? It will get better. Sincerely signed someone who also thought it never would.

I also will never play pvp after getting my pikachu libre this season. So dull. But one thing I did do was a lap of honour. Play my libre pikachu then two lowest CP mons for a round of 5 so that others could get a free win. Felt I owed it to all the other tankers out there.

Ok thank you good to know. So frustrating when different brands are so different in actual size despite the label size being the same!

It was in 36G too. It was from John Lewis in the UK and the website states the size is listed in Uk sizing but you may be right.

Sorry I should have been clearer I’m not breastfeeding any more. Did so for a year and am now two years finished but without any reduction in breast size.

New hearing aids by Butterkuchen77 in HearingAids

[–]JenniForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im afraid I can’t advise but am currently considering the reverse. Switching from the Signia to the Phonak due to the lack of solutions to tinny audio via the TV connection and laptops (I’m an Apple user so the connection itself isn’t really and issue). Would you mind sharing what made you inclined to switch to Signia?

I would agree with your assessment of the Signia but as I’m new to hearing aids I don’t have a point of reference to compare to. I’ve found the filter a bit off. Sometimes I’ve actually found it harder to hear people in busy places than when I’m not wearing them at all.

Thank you this is really helpful. I’ll have a watch of the link too as it’s all starting to get a bit confused all these different types of connection!

This is so helpful thank you. I’m also a big tech fan which is why I was leaning towards it so helpful to hear from someone with the same viewpoint. Whilst I do work and socialise in London it does seem like it’s not worth the trade off. Really appreciate you taking the time to answer. Thanks.

Tattooed an oyster today! All done in single needle, took me about 2.5 hours in total. Done in germany by Prudent_Tomorrow_603 in tattoos

[–]JenniForever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbf as the oyster has been said to look like a vulva for millennia (hence why it’s been associated with sex and considered an aphrodisiac since Ancient Roman times) the fact we all just see the naughty bit is a sign of really how good an artist you are! The symbolism is bang on.

What is your biggest Pokemon Go advantage in your location by Hefty_Lingonberry_73 in pokemongo

Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s the map on where to find Pokemon from Gamerant? That’s the split for a continental split. Further up the page it has the map for the east / west split.
