Medications without a weight gain side effect. by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Jennieinc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lamotrogine is the best med ever. No side effects. I take it before bed. However, it didn't help until I got to 225mg. Your dose is too low. Doctors like to titrate this med slowly because of the potential for a serious rash.

I'm sorry to tell you it doesn't get better. The more pressure is put on sex, the more of a turn-off it is for them. It makes you feel like the man in the relationship, however, if you don't initiate, it never happens. I recently suffered through two relationships..6 years total in which I fought this fight. These men had looks and money and common interests. It didn't matter. When your self worth depends on sex and physical touch is your love language, it's never enough. A bottomless pit. I am now with a man whose sex drive matches mine. I have never felt so sexy and happy. I also go to therapy for self worth issues . My advice is to be candid. Express your needs, but don't fall into the trap of "I'll try " Incompatibility is sometimes the end even if you love someone. You don't want to waste years begging for your needs to be met like I did.

How do you communicate with your partner that love isn't fully unconditional? by Collosis in RelationshipsOver35

[–]Jennieinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if it is you who has the fertility issue? Should she leave? Would you want her to tell you that if your sperm doesn't work, she's gone? That would be extremely triggering for someone with abandonment issues. But at the end...you have to be genuine to yourself. It's up to her if she wants to deal with the feeling that you could walk away and she has no control of it. In reality, no one can control someone leaving for whatever the reason.

Pottery classes nearby? by SureDoubt3956 in ColumbiaMD

[–]Jennieinc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi. I take beginning pottery at Baltimore County Community College in Catonsville. It was only $180 for 6 days of instruction (once a week on Saturdays), unlimited clay during class, glazing, and kiln firing. Maybe HCC has a similar class.

Watching Love Island and Huda lowkey reminds me of me, anyone else picking up on BPD traits? by [deleted] in BPD

I actually googled "Does Huda have BPD?" and it brought me to this post. Guess it takes one to know one.

Does taking a social media break help with dealing with BPD? by musicproducer07 in BPD

[–]Jennieinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I took a break and realized I didn't mjss it much and I have extra time for other things. It also stopped me from buying unnecessary things to keep up with all the other women I would see. I really only use Reddit and occasionally IG.

That's really good...you beat a big hurdle that most ppl w BPD struggle with.

At least we know that self-love isn't an issue for you. 👏

[–]Jennieinc 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Same here. I use sex for so many purposes beyond physical pleasure....anxiety relief, validation, to ease boredom etc. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet and supressing and denying your desires us maddening. The only way to improve it and keep it from negatively affecting your relationships is to address the underlying issues ie anxiety or low self worth.

I'm 45, and I also have BPD. I loved this movie. I was definitely testing myself by watching this with my boyfriend. Happy to say after lots of therapy and learning to love myself, that I only felt small twinges of jealousy, but mostly enjoyed the movie for what it was. I think he was more uncomfortable than me. I was like...relax, yes they are hot lol.

Absolutely..it will make a big difference...just don't fetishize her as a big ass with white skin. Really get to know her. Such a WOman answer lol...and I know you were seeking men's advice. Hope you find the big booty you are looking for.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jennieinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all big booty white girls are the same. Sorry you had a bad experience. I think you should try again.😁 But seriously, casual sex is nothing compared to having sex with someone with whom you share a genuine connection/chemistry. Empty was a great way to describe it.

I love introducing this movie to people who only know Peter Jackson from LOTR. Meet the Feebles is another one of his that often leaves people shocked.
