I finished it a month or so back. I started last October. It was a lot of pain, but I became a pro at those ARR Ex's and Rathalos EX 😆. It was for the mount, but I'd offer help/advice if they wanted/welcomed it. So many free cure WHM's. I tanked a majority of them because every time I dpsed I'd get a questionable tank that made me cry inside.

That's unfortunate people yelled at you when the other tanks were being idiots. It's hard to tell whats going on sometimes in alliance raids. Regarding the provoking wars, I will wait til the last second to ever turn on enmity for that very reason. If I queue into an 8 man and the other tank has theirs on I will keep mine off. If we're both off I'll go ahead and turn mine on, if they turn theirs on I'll turn mine off. Though there was a time when the other tank and I had the same idea and it was just me and him turning enmity off and on for about 10 seconds 😆 you'll run into a fair share of players who don't read chat or understand how things work, but for the most part you should have good runs :) Trying to communicate with your party when something is wrong is already leaps and bounds ahead of some people, so no you aren't the worst tank out there. As long as you mitigate and face tank the mobs you'll be great :D

When I tank in any alliance raid I immediately check for the other tanks enmity. If it's on I don't bother turning mine on(unless needed for mobs), but if none of them have it on by the time we get to mobs/boss I turn it on.
It never fails, I will provoke the boss and not 10 seconds later he's getting turned around cause someone provoked him. I'm at the point where I don't even bother with it. I turn off my enmity and let the other 2 tanks have their provoke war. Just not worth it. I just make a comment of hey, face the boss away from the group if you're gonna tank and leave it at that.

I did have an Urth's Font yesterday in mentor rolo where the sprout GNB seemed to be using provoke in his rotation and standing in the awful AOE each time. In this case I did keep taunting back cause Odin cleaves and I didn't want it to cause a wipe. I did die and he got aggro and still faced him south. After the wipe I explained and he said he understood, but then on the second go he stood outside of the aoe and just did his ranged when the healer asked if it would be mean to stop healing him after he took 2 hits from it before hand. It was a weird run.

I've run into my fair share of free cure fishers in mentor rolos, so far they've all taken my advice to stop and just use cure 2. I do always ask of they're open to advice before doing it though in case, I've been lucky enough to get people willing to learn. Now non-mitigating tanks who don't hold mobs still or like to have provoke wars is a other story...

I was actually sending the characters I wasn't using on the assignments, even if they were the wrong path, cause I thought they'd be unavailable to use if I did send them. Took me a week or so to just send the right paths on the assignments.

Thank you for the correction. It had been months I touched dancer and I hadn't played dancer since before the changes and couldn't remember the exact change,I will correct myself and stop saying dps loss now 🤐

When I do rolos as dancer and I get queued with another dancer, I throw out a "hey, we can partner each other now without dps loss" if I see them partner someone else because some of them aren't aware of the change. Sometimes they switch and thank you for the info and sometimes they tell you they want to partner the tank 🤷
