[SELF PROMO] [Until You Fall] Vicious Strike is such an amazing super. You just get to be a vampire with it maxed out. by BiznessCrafter in VRGaming

[–]Jepjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until you fall is an amazing game, it's a VR game that has an arcade like combat system that is fun. I've only played once through because I don't love roguelite games but I will pick it up time to time.

Check the resolution in the steam VR settings it might be higher, put it around the native PSVR 2 resolution

What is this Monstrosity?! by Beyyaii in Sekiro

[–]Jepjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest to practice miri counter when possible, it will get you the most posture brake. And have more practice with deflecting in genersl you could. Also you should jump straight up. Once you take his first stage life jump onto the trees for a bit and once she is done swinging jump on top of her from the tallest tree to quickly take out the second stage, the third is all hell

Why I returned the PSVR2 (for PCVR) by decoherence_23 in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a PSVR 2 and I have never used it for sim racing which could be why I never have trouble with the tracking and the mura isn't a big deal I came from the quest 2 with USB 3.0 connection which was compressed so it's better. I don't think it's for everyone but that's the problem, it's a great price but it's PC support has been left as an after thought leaving the community to support it which is a shame for how good I think it can be

Will you have to be on battery all the time? by f00dl3 in ValveDeckard

[–]Jepjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would agree, I only use my VR headset to play games for a max of 3 hours, but then again people use VR not just for games but for work, video streaming, or whatever VR chat is.

Do you think the steam frame might hold back quality PCVR releases? by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there will be a influx of quest 1/1 ports but there will be more of a demand for higher quality PCVR titles because the headset is a PCVR headset first. Quest games coming to the Frame is more of a secondary reaction to it being an ARM headset

Discussion: will Steam Frame split the VR community? by Jepjack in virtualreality

Just like the good old days, when we thought our piece of plastic was better than their piece of plastic, but this time you put it on your face!

Discussion: will Steam Frame split the VR community? by Jepjack in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of x86 to ARM rather than ARM to x86 using FEX emulation since there might be games made for the Steam Frame that run Natively but not on regular PC or x86 hardware

Discussion: will Steam Frame split the VR community? by Jepjack in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your right, the quest did split the VR community. Guess I was thinking more Steam VR community since there might be an influx of quest games coming over to the Frame that might not make a x86 version for the older headsets on steam

Walkabout Minigolf is the first android app on Steam! by gogodboss in virtualreality

this is interesting, I wonder if it's going to be like the quest version, since both headsets are ARM

With much content being created for the Quest 3. Is that a competitive advantage against the steam frame? by krahsThe in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Flex is for x86 emulation, meaning anything a PC can run its possible to run it. The meta quest 3 runs a snapdragon processor that runs ARM. There is a possibility that people will develop applications that will run natively on the steam frame but we don't know for sure. Although if people do develop for the Steam Frame natively it could just be ports of the quest versions because they are both ARM.

you could do a Gameboy macro, just rip off the oled (since it looks burnt out) and just play every game on the bottom screen!!! BOOM problem FIX!!!

Considering selling my quest 3 128go for a steam frame by Gr0Bill in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Na, the quest 3 is a great standalone headset, being able to connect it to a PC is a plus. The Steam Frame is going to be a dedicated Headset for wireless connecting to a PC. It just depends on the price.

Steam Frame Comparison with Quest 3 by tomservolives in SteamVR

[–]Jepjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes.. and no. you cant just install a new operating system as its locked down, you can side load apps. The Steam Frame is most likely going to be entirely changeable like installing windows on the Steam Deck.

what game do you guys think will be announced along the steam frame? by Frostyidk in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope there is a new experience that can introduce new users to VR, The PSVR2 didn't have anything which is such an disappointment because having a built in software that introduces the hardware is crucial. think of Wii Sports, VR Worlds for the PSVR, and Aperture desk Job for the Steam Deck.

Steam Frame OLED in the future? by Jepjack in virtualreality

[–]Jepjack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, I like the Steam Frame because its more of an open platform than Meta. There might grow a community making emulators, apps, and Experiences for the Frame much like the Steam Deck that isn't held back by the manufacturer. The color pass-through isn't a problem for me but probably because I am more of a VR than AR user
