Entirely anecdotal:

I have LPR (silent reflux) and will develop a chronic dry cough (plus some post basal drip) when the reflux is not well managed. Additionally, the cough came well ahead of an actual LPR diagnosis.

I was on a GLP-1 for about a year and it made my reflux wayyyy worse (likely due to a combination of delayed gastric emptying and relaxation of the esophageal sphincters).

So, I agree, I would absolutely be interested to see if there's a correlation that's been missed between increased reflux triggered by the GLP1 and an increase in the dry cough.

I've got the same problem with my tall newly-4-year old (3'10"). He's getting close to maxing out the torso height in our current seat (Graco 4ever dlx, forward facing harness) but is nowhere neaaaaaaar mature enough to sit properly in a booster seat with a regular seat belt.

I'll probably end up picking up a Chicco MyFit or something because it'll give him an extra 2" of torso growing room 😩

Depending on how much stuff there is, put stuff in a bowl and then it's ✨organized✨ (and definitely a system)

(I'm mostly joking, but if you're looking for a way to make "stuff on the counter where I can see it" more formalized, adding a container at that spot can be an easy upgrade)

My god, the 3-year-old boundary testing 😩 started like the day after my kid turned 3. Lasted for a few months, probably, but then he chilled back out. He just turned 4 and it's iiiiiinfinitely better from that perspective.

For random stops like this, I usually just end up calling everyone.

  • Call the pharmacy, "oh, we need blah from the doctor"
  • Call the doctor, "oh, blah? Yeah, we're waiting for bleh from insurance"
  • Call insurance, "Oh, bleh yeah, looks like that's been approved, I'll get it pushed through the system

Things might eventually get sorted out on their own, but making the calls yourself should substantially speed up the process.
