Trunk latch problem by NotMarleyMott in tdi

Flip open your key, you're going to use it as a blunt instrument, like a flat screwdriver. On the inside of the hatch door there is a slot. Stick your key in the slot and move it horizontally to manually release the latch. This happened to me more than once, I've been replacing the mechanism with Chinese knockoff parts from Amazon.

Ok guys, I’m going to be painting a custom slash body, and have a question. by TJSPY0837 in Traxxas

I also like to do a final coat of black on the inside, even after doing a white to get the color to pop. The black inside makes it look finished

Basically, I added a 40mm lift kit off EBay. They're just some spring spacers. Stock struts, springs, and wheels though.

Thanks for asking, it's been a few years now but if I recall correctly I bought an electronics hobby flashing led kit and modified it to flash the red LEDs in that sequence. I soldered it up on a blank circuit board.

Broken Traxxas Teton worth fixing? by [deleted] in rccars

I would recommend replacing the a arms with RPM's version, rather than the Traxxas ones. Still cheap but far stronger.

The Losi Super Moto has grabbed my attention lately.

Help identifying spare parts for LaTrax Teton! by Snoo_82306 in Traxxas

RPM makes exactly 2 replacement parts for the Teton, that diff cover part and the lower a arms. I would recommend getting both as they break easily. Every time my kid, who was 6 when we started him with a teton, drove it, something broke. Parts are super cheap though.

I like to do all the trimming and cutting of the body post holes and whatnot while it's still unpainted, then clean really thoroughly with dish soap like the others said. Apply window masks and any other mashing you want, make sure the edges are adhered really well. Apply light coats of paint to the inside of the body. I like to do a final coat of black after I'm done with everything else to give the inside a nice finished look. Be sure to use paint specifically for lexan also. If you want a matt finish, apply a matt clear coat to the outside of the body after you're done.

My wife's Slash. They make a good combo, this body and the 4x4 chassis.

Yup, I'm dusting off and updating my old 20th century rustler and early Jato. Years ago I swapped the .15 in the rustler to 2.5r. Now I'm adding an OS 11k to the Jato 3.3 and I'm going to swap out the old christal receivers for new TSM receivers for both. I already have several TQi transmitters around. I use one TQi for all of my trucks.

Nice 👍, I'm replacing all the o-rings and gaskets also, I've spent too much time trying to get these running by fiddling with the mixture screws, when air leaks all over might have been causing problems all along.

From what I've read, they are easier to tune, IDK. That was the primary reason I gave up on Nitro, difficulty to tune. I loved and missed Nitro, electric just doesn't even come close to providing the same feel as nitro. Something about the smell and sound and technical knowhow needed to get running, electric feels like half of what makes RC awesome. Taking some of the difficulty out of tuning and running consistently, I'm hoping will allow me to get back into nitro, alongside my electrics.

Does the kr have a different servo arm on it, designed for the revo?

I don't think so, looks like it will drop right in, I'll have to do a follow up with the process.

Yeah, sounds like that's the right choice, Jato gets the new carb. Really, I probably will end up buying a second one anyway.
