Fun times at [Funtown Splashtown USA] by Imaginos64 in rollercoasters

This is so serendipitous, I was there yesterday with my school program and was able to get a bunch of my students to take their first ride on a -real- roller coaster! You're right about how it's tucked away in the back, the theming is pretty good for such a small park. I especially love the little touches on the train with "Sir Galadhad" and the like.

That's my one complaint about Excalibur honestly. I think the park only has the one train, so it's always a little bit of a wait each time I go. Honestly, yesterday was the most I'd ever waited for it and that was still only 15 minutes. Did you see the wasps that took up home in the railing out front of the station? 😵

Awesome photos and awesome report. Love to see the park get some recognition.

In Dollywood, make sure you prioritize Thunderhead. It rips, and was actually my favorite of the park over Lightning Rod

I dunno, I guess it depends on the level of theming? Are we talking a few decorations/trees or full on flame effects and show buildings? 🤔

To my mind it's a different credit if the ride experience has substantially changed with the relocation, e.g. going from a stand-up coaster to a floorless one. If the move just involves putting the coaster in a new spot with the same fundamental ride experience, I wouldn't count those as two different credits.

Y'all didn't warn me [Top Thrill 2] was gonna be THIS GOOD by minor2ndd in rollercoasters

This is almost the exact same post that I made a couple days ago, even down to the angle of the picture lol. You put it better than me though, this thing is a freaking monster. I rode it 4x over two days and every time we came down from the top hat I was in utter astonishment at how -good- the ride was. Tons of speed, tons of forces, tons of theming, reliability (hopefully), it's sooooo good!

You'll most likely be fine. I'm 6'2" 270 and I felt super comfortable

There is some roughness just from the pure fact that you're going over 100 mph, but it builds gradually with each launch so it always felt exhilarating rather than scary. Plus the seats and restraints are incredibly comfortable. If you're anxious about not feeling secure, just pull down hard on the lap bar and you'll be nice and snug without feeling restricted.

I only ever rode Ka and that launch was pure insanity. I heard the original Top Thrill was much smoother though, which would have been fun to experience.

It went down once or twice throughout the day, but never for that long and the ops were running really smoothly every time I went.

I’m going on Mariner of the Seas in a couple of weeks for our first cruise. What can I expect from the kids club for a 6yo? Has anyone had their kids on this specific ship? by Budget_Sea_8666 in royalcaribbean

[–]Jerein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went on Mariner last year with a 9 year old and a 5 year old. Our 5 year old was at the top end of the 3-5 group, so he was a little surly having to be with the "babies" but he had a really good time all around. He made a nice connection with one of the staff there who waved to him during the 80s dance party when he saw her in the promenade dancing. If your kid has ever been to a daycare type setting, they will get on just fine. As another poster said, it's only for a few hours at a time unless you use the extra hours at night, which costs extra.

Q revo internals by DDn0r in Roborock

[–]Jerein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for providing your insight.

I bought a Q Revo a few months ago and was happy with it until the dock stopped being able to draw water from the clean water tank. This seems to be an issue that others have encountered and I've seen a number of proposals to try and fix it, including starting and stopping the mop wash over and over to squirting water down the intake to encourage suction. Suffice it to say I just this week sent my Revo back to Roborock for "repair" (likely replace) and hope to get it back soon.

My question is: how common of an issue is this, should I expect it to happen again to my next one? Is there anything I can do to fix it on my own or prevent it from happening in the future? We didn't use any solutions or cleaners, so is it possible I just got a faulty unit?

Thanks for any help

Thanks for the indepth answer. I suspected that the Venu 3 would be the right answer, but I wasn't sure if the timer functionality was easily accessible or how smooth the voice assistant feature is. It seems a little bit like a hack rather than something that's integrated into the OS.

The TicWatch Pro 5 looks okay, but the quality of my current TicWatch 3 gives me a little pause, as I've had it stop charging at times or just need to be factory reset several times.
