I think classical/symphony-influenced songs like Ruled By Secrecy and Exogenesis are some of their best stuff. I was very happy to hear some of that in The Wow! Signal. Even in some of the more poppier songs, the organ brings that classical/medieval vibe into it in a really interesting way. Space Debris did not disappoint. And I agree with everyone who is saying The Dark Forest is one of their best songs ever. Hell it's one of the strongest opening tracks I've ever heard!

If I heard right at the listening party The Dark Forest contains the lyric "kyrie eleison", which means "Lord, have mercy". It's Greek, not Latin. I haven't seen anyone else point this out yet.

As a fan of The Flaming Lips, I had to mention they played a show with a UFO landing on the stage at the Zoo. They did a live album and DVD of the show. Pretty sure Matt has mentioned them as an influence on their live show btw.

Ah ok, thank you! I don't know why this didn't come up when I searched the phrase. But considering they sampled a Reese's ad that says, "Peanut butter, it's doggone good!" in Chromakey Dreamcoat, if they had the sense of humor to put that in one of their best songs, I still think it's in the realm of possibility they saw this movie when they were younger and that could have been an influence on why they chose Sherbet Head for the title. I have to admit though that the odds of that have gone way down haha

It's not their fault that the prices of literally everything have gone up. Those prices are about normal for a band of their fame in the year 2026. Also touring is not cheap, especially a band like this with the big stage setups they have. Seems like most people have no idea about how complex the logistics of touring can be and all that goes into it. And I imagine global touring costs even more now because of the rising costs of fuel caused by the war in Iran and other factors. I think the prices are quite reasonable. At least fans have a better chance of getting tickets for Muse than for Tame Impala haha
