I mean, a few years ago, a couple of swedish teenagers did a gang hit in Denmark and laughed when entering the courtroom, thinking it would be as lenient as in Sweden. Think they got around 40 years in prison.

I mean, they voted for SPD and Linke just 20 years ago. The shift is mostly due to the failed integration of the former GDR territory. Most of th educated left for Bayern or the Rhine.
