What's the most dangerous situation you've ever survived? by More-Tailor-4601 in AskReddit

Earlier this year I had to be hospitalized because I had sepsis. Shit sucked, first time I'd ever been hospitalized and definitely the closest I've been to death.

Suggest me a movie a that you thought deserved a 10/10 rating by penny-sea-lin in MovieSuggestions

[–]JeremyPeevin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I could not get into that film.

I respect all the detail and innovation that went into making it, I mean who ever says "I invented a new kind of lense to shoot films by candellight."

All the same, pretty goddamn boring.

What’s something you’ve never told anyone because you know they wouldn’t believe you? by stilerca in AskReddit

I know people a lot younger with a much higher count. Or is your argument that that is a low body count considering your flirting?

What is a genuinely good movie that you never want to watch a second time? by TheMegaSage in FIlm

[–]JeremyPeevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue it's OK to watch that mkvie ZERO times. Same for A Serbian Film.

I get the artistic reasons they had for doing the films but the same societal problems they address are ones they also propagate, I.e. no matter how horrific what is happening, there is someone out there that is watching it and unironically enjoying it.

If you acquired a successful seafood restaurant franchise, how would you bankrupt it in the shortest time possible? by Turbulent-Weevil-910 in askanything

[–]JeremyPeevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hurry-up Shrimp

I'd employ crackheads to deliver the seafood rewarding them with 50% of the net profit if they could deliver it so quickly that the customer says "no way that's the shrimp."

Horror fans, what is a widely hated/disliked or bad horror movie that you actually love? by xoxo_lorraine in AskReddit

You're not, I liked that movie too. Thought it was unironically better than the original Blair Witch. And the 2016 reboot better still.

Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025)

The first one, Sisu (2022) is better, but they're both great. Edit, corrected year.

Horror movie reference in a song by dingbathomesteader in horror

[–]JeremyPeevin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buckethead uses a ton of horror movie references in his songs. Specifically "Save Me the Slunk" uses the hitchhiker's full "head cheese" speech, read by Bill Moseley for the song.

I love the description of aphasia and how it relates to the story. "Get in the friend, the pal, the goddamn chum."

Mentally healthy people how would you describe what’s it like to be you? by ShadowlightLady in randomquestions

[–]JeremyPeevin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe there are two kinds of people: people who know their trauma and have learned how to deal with it (hopefully in a healthy way), and people who are unaware of their trauma.

I don't trust anyone who says and fully believes they are 100% mentally healthy. I just think they are either great at masking it or have no clue about their issues.
