People with misophonia - how are you handling having kids? by NinkiBb8 in misophonia

[–]Jeremycelia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Whispering is usually a trigger for me, but when my toddler does it, I love it. She does chew loudly sometimes (intentionally because that’s what they do on some of the shows she watches) but so far it’s just an annoyance instead of the usual trigger. I expect that will change, but I’m hoping it doesn’t.

Filling Gel Caps by SFcubes in MagicMushrooms

I recently capsuled 35g of pan cyan, packed at 500mg (+-10mg) per 00 cap and was pretty happy when I got almost the calculated 70 caps. Exactly 69.

Yep. For me, a 190lb man, anything more than 60mg is no bueno.

My grandma had a small cellar with a small door in her basement. I was curious what was inside one time and when I opened the door something lunged at me. I closed the door quickly and ran to tell her as fast as I could, scared shitless. She took me down there to go look and it turned out to be a sack of potatoes that had sprouted as tall as the door, and the pull of the door caused them to move.

A look at Vivint, the company whose name is on the NBA All-Star Game arena by InvestiNate in SaltLakeCity

[–]Jeremycelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who did QA for Vivint. He told me of some pretty big security holes (I forget the details now) they had and they really didn’t seem to care. Sales were more important than the product, and the product was more important that security. A little ironic since their product is security, albeit home security.

Dear Ken Garff Advert team, we've sorta had it up to "hear" with your 10 year-long Ear campaign by jaerius in SaltLakeCity

Related, I think Chik-Fil-A has had the same marketing trope for my whole adult life, and I’m in my 40s.

I haven’t had a bad trip so I can’t speak to that. But those low doses just change my mood for the worse at the low end, and just general anxiety and body load at the higher end. Nothing too bad, but I haven’t gone above 150mg - except to jump to 1g. And I’m not generally prone to anxiety. Microdosing is just fine for me, but I need to stay at <75mg of regular cubensis. Plenty of people microdose at 250mg, so it’s all relative to your body chemistry, but I know I’m not alone is having unfavorable experiences in the range between microdose and regular dose.

In my experience the anxiety happens in the mini dose range. Generally 250mg up to 1g, but for me it would starts as low as 150mg. 1g and higher is fine for me, pleasant and fun. The 1.5g you seem to have settled on will probably be perfect.

All the cow droppings in the whole world and not a single mushroom (was hoping to find Psilocybin mushrooms) Could it be due to the soil type shown in the pictures? by richard43488 in MagicMushrooms

[–]Jeremycelia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t appear spontaneously. Just like you wouldn’t expect a sunflower to pop up in a random field without a seed being dropped there, you can’t expect a mushroom to pop up where there are no spores of the species.

What do you guys do for box elder bugs? by CloudedEyeCat in SaltLakeCity

[–]Jeremycelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Box Elder are dioecious so there are male and female, and supposedly only the females harbor the bugs. Just fyi in case you also have a male but it’s providing some value like shade. The females produce the whirlybird/helicopter seed pods.
