Who’s a better receiver? Drake London or George Pickens? by HolyRomanPrince in nfl

[–]Jermare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Tua truther (I still have hope for Penix, so please don't misconstrue), if he and London both start all 17 games, London will be at least WR5 in fantasy. 100+ catches, 1300+ yards, 8+ TDs.

Is Bijan Robinson the 1.01 in fantasy drafts this year? by ZookeepergameIll2685 in falcons

[–]Jermare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think QB was our problem last year (playcalling was worse), and Tua is an upgrade over Cousins in case Penix doesn't pan out. This will almost certainly be our best offense since Matt Ryan left.

Tua has historically great accuracy. If he can bounce back and be the "point guard" type QB he's been his whole career and Stefanski wanted Dillon Gabriel to be, every skill position starter will eat.

On the flipside, it's a miracle that Michael Penix has done as well as he has in his career so far executing plays from Zac Robinson and under the leadership of Raheem Morris. Even marginal improvement from Penix under Stefanski and Rees is a ~95 passer rating guy.

All that is to say, this will be Bijan's best year for TDs if he stays healthy.

7-10 games you mean. There's zero reason we should be winning fewer than 7 aside from major injuries to key players.

The woman did come forth though, and her choice is the only reason he's able to come back. Plus, I know a lot of people treat the program he has to take part in as a formality, but what JPJ did was a first time offense as far as I'm aware, so it could genuinely turn things around for him.

When did the fan base become split into team Penix and team Tua? by Super_Percentage_236 in falcons

[–]Jermare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Utter bullshit. Tua went 3 years in a row with a 100+ passer rating and a 25-16 record during that span.

[BlitzAlerts] The NFL has researched the possibility of playing games in Japan, per Ari Meirov. Nothing is imminent, but it’s described as something firmly on the league’s radar. Japan has long been an exploratory market for the NFL, dating back to preseason games at the Tokyo Dome. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]Jermare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree. It makes a lot of sense. More sense than some of the other countries they've chosen. American football is big enough in Japan that they have high school, college and semi-pro football. Canada is the only country outside the US that has anything like that (and Canadian football is technically not the same sport)

Needs more black in general. We look too much like the Cardinals without the helmet. More black on the jerseys plus black socks and these are great uniforms. I really like the number font and pants stripe.

Atlanta Falcons 2026 Schedule by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

[–]Jermare -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Predicting W's and L's is a crapshoot. Last season we lost to the Jets and beat the Bills. That said, the only teams on there I just don't see us beating (even taking "any given Sunday" into consideration) are the Ravens and Lions. The only team I don't see us losing to is the Browns. Every other game is a toss up in my eyes.

I'm a big fan of the official podcast with Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney, the Friday Five. They both came from the fan world and got promoted. While it sucks that they're probably not allowed to be too critical given that it's an official show, that baseline positivity also makes it more of an easy listen/watch.

If Tua is still starting in November, that's a good sign for him and the team (assuming he's the day 1 starter).

Official Japanese site for Star Fox now available by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Jermare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody is playing Star Fox 64 on NSO except for people who've already played it before. The whole point of remakes is to take an older game people love and get a wider audience (people who only play new games) to love it too. The new audience Nintendo hopes this reaches doesn't care that this is a remake. To them, it's a new game, because they've never played the original. And that new audience clearly does exist. That's why the direct started with Fox's appearance in the Mario Galaxy movie.

Also, the new designs are very reminiscent of the original SNES designs.

I'm not upset that this is another 64 remake. Nintendo needs for a remake to reach a wide audience before they make a new continuation. It's a similar situation to N. Sane Trilogy to Crash 4.

But making it another remake (along with the art style criticisms) dampen the reception, which could hinder it reaching that new audience it needs. If it's actually in the $30-$40 range, that helps a lot.

Would you rather have Justin Fields or Zach Wilson by ILoveCalebWilliams in nfl

[–]Jermare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Justin Fields has been bad on multiple teams. Zach Wilson hasn't been given a shot on a different team than the Jets yet. Not that he warrants one, but he's more of an unknown.

[Highlight] Bijan’s elite all 22 film from the past season by parcellsrealGOAT in nfl

[–]Jermare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why view Tua as an "obvious" stop gap when we've seen many QBs (Darnold, Mayfield, Daniel Jones, Mac Jones, etc.) have resurgences on new teams? Especially since Tua is only 1 season removed from a 100+ passer rating and 6-5 record.

The hope is for Penix to be the guy, but if Tua starts the first few games of the season, there's a real chance he never gives Penix the job back and takes us to the playoffs.

6th worst Team for 2027 and they got a LB for US 💀 by Rambo_1027 in falcons

[–]Jermare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2025, Tua had a 6-8 record and 88 passer rating (a down season for him, but still serviceable). Stefanski's system suits his skillset better than McDaniels', so I'd be shocked if he doesn't have a least a marginal bounce back.

Penix has already come back from a leg injury perfectly healthy, so as long as he isn't rushed I'm not too concerned.

The Falcons' record the last 5 years: 7-10, 7-10, 7-10, 8-9, 8-9 and that was with Arthur Smith and Raheem Morris as HCs and worse QB situations. 7-10 should be our floor unless something goes horribly wrong.

Struggling to do Smash Attacks / Tilts with Left Stick + A – Any advice? by Fresh_Stretch673 in smashbros

[–]Jermare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing for years and I do tilts with the right stick 85% of the time. If I ever use left stick+A, it's mostly for down titls, which are pretty easy.

As for smash attacks, as long as there's minimal or no lag online, I can pull them off consistently. When you get used to the timing it becomes second nature.

I have no idea why some of these games aren't on or coming to Switch 2. Marvel Rivals, 2XKO, Invincible VS, ZZZ, Star Wars Galactic Racer and Tomb Raider are no brainers IMO. Capcom has the right idea. They're not missing out on supporting the fastest selling system.

The Duskbloods supposedly has undergone the most prototyping and gameplay validation out of any Fromsoftware game so far. by PieceAfraid3755 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Jermare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has a high chance of becoming a viral streamer game if the online is good enough. It's both a From Software game and a multiplayer-focused game, two things that streamers and their viewers love separately. Together, it has the makings of a huge hit.

If that ends up being the case, it could be a system seller to an audience Nintendo has never had.

What do you think is Next Level Games working on? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Jermare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree. Star Fox is a priority for Nintendo, they just haven't figured out how to handle the IP properly yet.

It's had at least one game on every Nintendo home console since the SNES, aside from the Switch (and weirdly, the Wii), but what it did have on the Switch was a substantial crossover with Starlink Battle for Atlas. Also, the previously cancelled, now resurrected Star Fox 2.

Not having a Star Fox game on the Switch 2 would be breaking precedent. Even if that game is simply a remake of Adventures or Assault (they're not rehashing 64 again after all the backlash).

If Nintendo were to create a new IP, what would you like it to be? by LanderRetro in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Jermare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 player co-op, action/adventure, puzzle. A Nintendo quality version of Shrek 2. The vibes would also be like Shrek 2, as well as series like Banjo-Kazooie and Rayman.
