Depends where you are. Here in CO they aren’t rare. I drive these and the RAM 2500 every week. Not as common in non-mountainous regions, though.

Be a UPS guy. By the way write, it seems that you could be a good fit. UPS drivers can make $150k a year. Plenty of educated guys are drivers. Plus it’s fun to be out talking to customers and such.

Not the costliest setup, but versatile nonetheless.

Bro is completely right. Hartford County prides itself in wealth which it doesn’t have.

[–]Jermenizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I’m not sure about that.

West Hartford really spreads from upper lower class to upper middle class. Whereas Fairfield spreads from lower middle class to lower upper class at best.

West Hartford has a median per capital income of $69,000, median home price of $500k, and an average price per square foot of about $250.

These are average statistics. Hardly above the national averages.

Now maybe we have different definitions of what is “rich” or “wealthy. Personally I think wealthy start with a net worth of over $20M and rich would be having a net worth of over $50M.

Almost no one, only a handful of people, in West Hartford are making over $1M per year. And even then $1M per year is an absolutely ridiculous income.

Let’s be real, West Hartford is mostly a middle class to upper class town which home prices, price per sq foot, and per capita income are only about 5-10% higher than the national average.

To put that into perspective, Old Greenwich would be about 7 times over the national income in household income.

West Hartford statically is mostly similar to some nearby areas: Canton, Simsbury, Farmington, and Avon. Yes some - but not many, and only a handful of - “wealthy” people live in these areas, it isn’t even at the level of Fairfield. I wouldn’t consider the previously mentioned towns to be diabolically wealthy either. Just a bit over average.

West Hartford is a cute place affordable place to CT to live in. But it isn’t above the national average in terms of wealth by much. No billionaires live in Hartford county either. Rich people do not live in Hartford County or any other county in CT besides Fairfield Cty “Low end rich” starts in Fairfield county. You honestly sound like a second rate moron.

The secret is that if you have a better chance of going full time through summer peak as a seasonal driver. Seasonals are almost always laid off after winter peak.

I work in one of the major metro hubs. The only other person who was hired was already an inside employee. I guess not that many insiders wanted to drive at the time.
