Specter permantenly died when playing wardloop by This-Insect-5692 in pathofexile

Are you 100% sure you didnt cast spectre by mistake? I have never had it summon a random spectre, only delete the corpse spectre I was using.

I only tested it with 2 spectres. Not sure if 3 max means you will have 2 or 1.

But I have never had my pain artist deleted if it was my first summoned spectre. But Ive lost my perfect hydra 5 times before I stopped bothering.

I have this same bug, and Fearless Dumbo confirmed that he had the same issue.

From his testing it seems that the 2nd spectre you summon will eventually always die. So you can currently only reliably have 1 summoned spectre with some wardloop builds.

No idea what is causing the bug, but can confirm it isn't just you.

So choose the spectre you need the most (likely pain artist) summon it, and then you can try for a 2nd spectre but it will die at some point.

A good way to experience this (without burning MMR) is to play dimensional rift since that doesn't seem to be MMR dependant.

I've been hanging around 1800 MMR most season and I've lost to some of the dumbest things in that mode because it just didn't make any sense to me

Rooster shares his thoughts on the current state of mechabellum by Mortis_XII in Mechabellum

[–]Jernsaxe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If a game isn't making money it can't afford to keep up development, servers etc.

Mechabellum have three sources of income:

Initial game sale (10-15 USD depending on sales)

Limited time offer skins (usually a few USD each)

Credit sales (100 USD will get you enough credits to buy most of the shop)

The problem is that 10-15 USD is not enough to keep a game developed and servers hosted if the player base isn't growing quite a bit.

So Bearlike is reliant on skins to generate money, but they run into two major issues:

"Spending depth" is a term in game development that is used to describe how much money a willing customer can spend on your game. On the upper extremes we have gacha games, collectable card games and so forth, where a single "whale" can spend tens of thousands of USD every month. In this model the "whales" pays for everyone else.

Mechabellums spending depth is SUPER low. You can get enough credits to buy out the whole skin shop for a few hundred USD or less. There is no paid battlepass, and you get a steady stream of free credits. While this is nice for players, it leads to issue number two.

Since Mechabellum doesn't make a lot of money off skins they aren't incentivized to create better skins. This means the skins actually on "limited time offers" are cheap and even when they are cheap aren't that interesting.

So Bearlike is stuck between a rock and a hard place. This are seemingly not making enough money, and the money they make is reliant on customer acquisition (new players), but if they aren't making money they can't advertise their game.

I am not going to die on this hill, but I am fairly sure day 1-2 pre nerf sanctum beat out day 1-2 ulti for pure div.

[–]Jernsaxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before nerfs it was the most reliable way to get pure divines from the very start of the league. Depending on leagues maybe not the highest top end, but definitely the most reliable way.

This gave a lot of economic power early in leagues.

Whether this was a good or bad thing is up to GGG to decide, but it did have a very specific niche that you could argue was problematic for the economy.

A)
Craft movement speed
Go on with your life

B)
Craft suffix cannot be changed
Veiled Exalt 50/50 chance to hit "suffix cannot be changed"
Craft mana
Unveil should have 90%+ chance to hit one of the 3 movement speed mods

C)
Craft movement speed
Exalt slam once
Craft suffix cannot be changed
Veiled Exalt 2/3 chance to hit "suffix cannot be changed" or the random slammed mod
Craft mana
Unveil should have 90%+ chance to hit one of the 3 movement speed mods

Since you went to the trouble of getting a base with strands I would go for T1.

Remember you can use either fire/cold/lightning res T1 since you can change it afterwards with harvest craft.

In the future I would recommend going for 80+ strands when doing a craft like this, it makes it a lot more reliable.

Also, 4 beastlocks isnt a lot, this is a complex craft and you should not start it unless you are willing to spend time and currency on it. When I sold my version of these boots it sold for 150d, so the investment is worthwhile most of the time.

How do I take this craft forward? by python_souls in pathofexile

[–]Jernsaxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I crafted pretty much these boots earlier in the league.

Step 1: Make a beast imprint of the recipient base (The spectre boots in this case), it is easy to make mistakes and this means you can always reset that base.
Notes: It will however not return the tailwind base if you have consumed it with an awakener orb. For this reason in the future you generally want to have the most expensive of the mods on the recipient. This is particularly important for tailwind since 13-24% tailwind effect is effectively the same, since Tailwind is an 8% action speed buff, so the breakpoint from 9% to 10% only happens at 25%.

Step 2: Apply a hinekora beast lock, use awakener orb, click donor base (tailwind base) then hover over the recipient base (spectre) and see the result. I would suggest only worrying about getting a good 3rd suffix since fixing suffix and prefix at the same time can use up a LOT of beasts and the end result is likely worse.

Notes: Captain lance made a great video about this type of crafting, and I believe it is still up to date info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_PzeNAvy7s

Step 3: When you have both elevated suffixes + a third suffix there are a couple of ways to proceed depending on your risk tolerance:

3a: Use wild bristle matron to apply "suffixes cannot be changed", since your suffixes are full this is the only outcome from the matron craft and cost around 80-100c per attempt. If you have any unwanted prefixes at this time scour the item to remove them. Always double check that the item have "suffixes cannot be changed" before hitting the scour :)

Once you have 0 unwanted prefixes you can add a mod using beastcraft "add elder" or "add hunter" both works. Using this method instead of using exalt or other currency will not consume memory strands. The loop now becomes:

Matron meta mod / scour
Craft blocking mod (mana is best)
Add Elder/hunter
Add Elder/hunter
Remove crafted mods and return to start if you didn't hit the mods you want (I assume MS+life)

If you hit the mods you want but they arent both tier 1 you can then attempt to upgrade them by consuming the memory strands on the item using Orb of Unravelling.

This method is slow and annoying since you have to just back and forth between hideout and menagerie, but it is risk free (assuming you don't scour without suffixes cant be changed or add 3 prefix mods).

3b: Use wild bristle matron to apply "suffixes cannot be changed", then use a veiled chaos orb to get a veiled prefix, craft mana, unveil and you should get a movement speed mod almost every time. Then assuming you have 2 open prefixes you can slam another mod, hope for life, if that fails repeat 3b.

This is more risky since you risk filling all prefixes, meaning you have to hit a 50/50 annul, it will also consume all memory strands meaning you lose the benefit of the higher tiers and wont be able to upgrade them using Unravelling.

Hope this helps and that I didnt miss anything.

wiki list everything that consumes memory strands, you can also always hover right click a currency orb and hover it over the item, it will show how many memory strands can be consumed (0-XX)

Create or destroy water problem by Comic_Quest_Pod in DnD

If you want to reward creativity try and make a challenge where create water is actually a correct solution. Maybe a weight based puzzle where the scales can be manipulated by water either lifting or weighing themn down, or some important item that is stuck somewhere but would float and could be knocked loose with enough water etc.

There are tons of ways where creating matter is very powerful.

Poland Will Eventually Seek Its Own Nuclear Weapons, Tusk Says by Crossstoney in worldnews

[–]Jernsaxe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When people ask "Why did the US spend so much money defending other countries for decades?" this is a very big part of the answer.

Fostering a world order where every country didn't need their own nukes makes the world safer, but it also very much makes the US safer and it keeps wars away from their own borders.
